Third Person's POV The Western Tribes' werewolves were overwhelming, but Velda fought fiercely. Her arms underwent wolf-shift, wolf hair-covered claws tore through leather wrist guards and elongated. Ten glinting nails left frosty trails in the air. Her vertical pupils shrank to arctic-crevice slits. A horizontal slash of her left claw shattered three warriors' shields. Glancing around, she saw more Western Tribes' wolves surging like a tide. These wolves hadn't joined the earlier battle but had lain in wait for her.

“Just let go, and I’ll be right there with you.” She calmed slightly as he held her. The first time was always the worst and she was so much older than she should have been for a first timer. He felt his own wolf clawing its way to the front of his mind rushing to be freed. He could feel her letting go, letting the beast with in her move forward. Her wolf was violently making its appearance, with one more blood curtailing scream Tifs eyes opened wide as the wolf broke free of the human form that held her. A beautiful red and silver creature, the bright green eyes glinting in the moon lit snow covered night. His black wolf hushing to meet hers. Siron had only one thought rush through his mind

The five wolves had extraordinary physical abilities with fast hand and foot movements. Delaltrik had to admit he was old and had trouble keeping up with their movements. However, Delaltrik didn't want to be defeated by five wolves he didn't know. So, he exerted all his strength, ignoring that he was clawed so hard that it left deep wounds on several parts of his body. Delaltrik clawed, kicked, and punched the three-meter-tall wolf with all her strength.

My claws dug into the ground as I braced for impact. The first wolf reached me, his jaws snapping toward my throat. I ducked, twisting my body and slamming into his side. He yelped as he tumbled away, but I had no time to celebrate. The second and third wolves flanked me. One lunged for my hind leg, teeth sinking in just enough to graze the surface. Pain flared, but I twisted, my own jaws latching onto his scruff. With a powerful jerk, I tossed him aside.

But now, forcing myself to study it carefully, I saw something I'd missed before. The wounds were wrong. Ghost Wolves had retractable claws, yes. But they were curved. Designed for gripping and tearing. The wounds on my parents' bodies were straight. Clean. Almost surgical in their precision. More like blade wounds than claw marks. "Look at this," I said, handing Thomas the photo and pointing to the throat wounds. "Do those look like claw marks to you?" Thomas studied the image, his expression growing troubled. "They could be. But you're right, they're unusually clean. Most werewolf kills are... messier. More savage."

I tore my claws further across his flesh, then pushed him off of me as I quickly got to my feet, preparing myself for another attack. The three wolves all looked on with angry snarls, then at once they all began scurrying toward me. I slashed one across the face as I kicked another in its mouth. The third rogue aimed low and clamped his sharp teeth around my leg pulling me back down to the ground. The other two shook off their wounds and came for me. One clamped its mouth on my arm, but as I slashed his legs and chest with my nails, he whimpered and let go, whilst another opened its mouth, ready to sink his teeth into my abdomen.

I bide my time, waiting for the right moment. The forest is my territory. My salvation. As soon as we’re far enough from the others, I make my move. With a burst of strength, I twist free of their grips, cutting through my restraints with my claws. The first wolf lunges at me, but I’m faster. I slide under his attack, driving my claws into his thigh. He roars in pain, throwing a punch that glances off my cheek. I retaliate with precision, slashing from his left to right ear. He collapses, his blood pooling at my feet.

The night filled with snarls and the sound of claws raking against pavement. The lead rogue, a large black wolf with blood-red eyes, charged at one of Derek’s warriors. His claws swiped at the warrior’s side, but the gray wolf dodged, spinning on his hind legs and slashing at the rogue’s flank. Blood splattered across the ground, but the rogue barely flinched, retaliating with a powerful bite aimed at the warrior’s throat. The gray wolf jumped back just in time, countering with a vicious attack that tore into the rogue’s shoulder.

My tail wags to express how exciting this war is. I clawed at the wolf in front and behind me. Then the warrior wolf helped me fight off the wolf in front of me, and I turned my body to face the wolf behind me, his dark eyes flashing its ambition to kill me. I take one step forward. The wolf and I fought on our feet. He pushed me, and I held on so I wouldn't step on the warrior wolf behind me. I dug my claws into his neck, and he dug his claws into my shoulders. I pressed my fingers against his neck until I felt the tips of my claws touch his bones. We growl and balance our bodies to keep from crashing to the ground.

The wolf, with its teeth bared and assuming an aggressive stance, poses a potential threat to me. As we begin to retreat, I keep a watchful eye on the purple wolf, studying its every move. Its muscles tense, ready to pounce at any given moment. I can feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins, heightening my senses and sharpening my focus. Every step we take backward is calculated, ensuring that we maintain a safe distance while still keeping the wolf within our line of sight. The tension in the air is palpable as we continue our cautious retreat.
