I shook my head as he described what I had experienced. "Astrid, what happened to you?" He asked once again concerned about me. "I don't know, Lance; it wasn't like I was seeing things in a different light; everything felt normal except for the rising rage inside me," I moaned. "Is there anything else you want to tell me?" I asked him again. "Yes, several nerves in your thoracic outlet popped out, and I could feel a surge of blood coming through it, and those nerves throbbed until we were out of there," he explained.

That’s when I feel a rush of wind on my left followed by a sharp prick in my shoulder. Looking back at my own body, I see a red dart sticking out of my upper arm. “What the fuuuu–” Everything goes black.

I started a conversation to save the silence. He cleared his throat first before saying, "You shouldn't be. I mean, it's fine—actually, fine. " Instead of answering, I lifted my face and looked at him. His face was read—it looked like a tomato, a very ripe one. Is he blushing? "You okay?" I asked and put my hand on his neck to check his temperature. Maybe he has a headache too. But, headaches don't show any redness in your face or in your whole body.

My body went limp, and I felt a needle-like sensation stabbing into my neck. What is going on?

My skin starts to feel like I am being pierced with tiny daggers as my blood rises up to my head. I try to breathe through my mouth and my nose. But it feels like something is choking me. Wait, what is happening to me? . .*

It feels as if my blood struggles to flow freely, hindered by the unyielding pressure. But the torment doesn't end there. A similar sensation grips my waist, as if a serpent has slithered its way around me, coiling tightly and constricting my every breath. The grip is suffocating, leaving me gasping for air, as if the very life force within me is being slowly squeezed away.

Then after we analyzed there was a lump on your neck. That's what might make you feel dizzy because blood flow to your brain is blocked. Have you never felt that way?” I frowned. “Well, I feel. But I thought it was just plain tiring. Because after I sleep I don't get dizzy anymore. But that night I really had a headache."

I nod my agreement as she shoves the clamp into my hand. Rebecca returns to rummaging through cubbards as I slide my hand back into his stomach, finding the end of his vein. It is leaking blood profusely, and I try to put the clamp on quickly. It slips in my fingers, and a drop of blood splashes upwards with the impact. I can feel it burning into the skin on my neck, but I try to keep my focus on the clamp. Readjusting it in my hands, I put it on the end of his vein and wait for the blood flow to cease.

I can also feel the tension on his body increasing due to the panic overwhelming him. I'm trying my best to keep conscious. The pain from the cut on my neck burns, and I hope that I don't look bloody. I don't even know whether there's blood dripping from my neck or not.
