The Captain that was never mine

The Captain that was never mine

“I’m not exactly a sports person.” “You will be after tonight. The energy is addictive. Hawthorne versus Westfield is always brutal—especially because of the captains. Brad Walker versus Sebastian Hale. Pure rivalry.” I raised an eyebrow. “Sebastian Hale?” “Captain of Westfield. Tall, insanely talented, and actually a decent guy from what I’ve heard not the cocky asshole type like Brad and his crew. The stands go wild whenever he’s on the ice. Total heartthrob material.” She winked. “You’ll see why.”

This was our only option. “Go back to the camps, send one thousand men into our capital. Give them the choice to pass through the portal but make them fully aware of what is at stake. Leave nothing out. Any village or town you pass on the way, spread the word.” Micah turned to the warrior standing closes to him, a man with earth-colored locks that reached past his shoulders. Scars littered his bare shoulders, slashes, and stab wounds. He met Micah’s eyes unwaveringly, crossed an arm over his chest and nodded.

I normally don't write comments but I need to tell you that I wait everyday for more chapters. your writing makes me feel like I'm the one experiencing this first hand and I'm always begging for more. so beautifully written and I love every minute of it. if I could I'd give this book a million stars
Erin Sophia Lockman
This book was slow at first and filled with a lot of pain, but I find myself being a sucker for the wounded girl who becomes a strong, badass fighter. While I'm still clamoring for more of the raw, love/hate relationship in this book, I am enjoying the determination of the strong female protagonist.

Mafia's Medicine

Mafia's Medicine

Luca obliged bringing me the blowtorch The captive’s eye widened in terror. "No—no, you can’t—" I took the torch from Luca, twirling it lazily in my hand. "Oh yes I can. And I will." I brought the flame close to the captive’s exposed hand, the heat radiating against his already wounded finger. "Last chance. Who sent you?" The captive still did not talk. Without hesitation, I pressed the flame against the man’s wrist. His horrific scream filled the room, echoing off the walls. The scent of burning flesh filled the air in the room.

His blazing blue eyes seemed to be glowing now. “You need to get out of here” he spoke “you shouldn’t see this.” “I have to help Torch” I snapped back “he’s my friend.” Trauma smirked at me, then gripped his gun tighter. “Just make sure you stay alive” he rested a hand on my shoulder, then leapt over the stall to rush towards Slasher. Slasher screamed out, and the police began firing. A sound of the bullets striking Torch’s metal rang out, followed by a screaming as Torch released his stream of bullets. When his arm began smoking, he let it form a flamethrower, that dripped blood as it roasted the nearby police officers and fleeing innocents.

I expect him to fall down to the ground, unconscious, like the guards did in stories my mother would tell me as a child. Instead he grunts, then turns to me. The mild confusion on his face quickly turns to anger. I stagger back, dropping the torch. “What’s going on?” he says, his face reddening. “Have you... lain with him? She who lies with a beast—” The alpha darts forward and breaks the man’s neck, then shoves him aside. He holds out his hand. I suck in a deep breath. I’m doing this to help my kingdom, I tell myself. Not because—even with blood on his shirt cuffs, and dirt on his face, and one of my guards, dead, at his feet—he is looking at me with kindness.

It was theirs too. The elders approached, the only one absent was elder Godric. They were carrying a shallow ceremonial bowl filled with water from the sacred spring. They moved in a slow circle, dipping their fingers into the water and pressing the cool droplets to my forehead, murmuring blessings for strength, courage, and wisdom. Each touch felt like another invisible piece of armor settling around me. When Colten stepped forward, his fingers lingered a fraction longer against my skin. His voice was low but clear, “My Luna. My equal.” The words sank deep into me, grounding me.

Melting The Ice Captain

The adrenaline from the game finally fading and my muscles began to throb. “Hi,” her fingers pushed back my damp hair. “How are you feeling?” I chuckled. “Really sore…” Someone touched my ankle and my eyes clamped shut from the pain. “Oh fuck!!” “I wonder how such a baby became the Captain of the Black Hawks,” I heard Marcus snare and I looked at him. I glanced back at Olive without any reply to his childish effort at rilling me up. He growled. “I'm guessing this plump bitch is your caretaker. Explains a lot really.”

The Alpha Human Mate

Orlan on the other hand is able to freeze time. He hasn't tried it before because it's going to be the end of his life, but he believes that he possesses the power within. "Why did she allow herself to get attached easily?" An individual from the crowd asked. Orlan breathes in, and then he clenches his fist. "SHE'S A HUMAN!" He declared. The sound of cricket was heard all over the place because everyone became quiet. They were all surprised to see that a ruthless Immortal like Orlan Titan was given a human mate by the moon goddess.

I barked. “I did give you a cure. A stake through her heart. Will end your misery and, from the looks of it, hers. A useless sheltered life she’s led.” Max joked. “Regardless, I’ve made a promise, not only to Amelia but to myself. I will not harm a human over that thing.” I declared. “I won’t tell if you won’t.” Max shrugged, and he almost made me smile. If only the thoughts of that thing weren't running around my head since she got here, I would have been able to give a normal reaction to one of my friend’s jokes.

Sacred Flame

Sacred Flame

End Cassius's POV I had to remove myself from the room after I said that to Asher. He is the worst of the dragons that live in the palace, so I wasn't lying. Conner’s dragon, Caleb, is the only one of the three who has attempted to show me any type of civility. He still left me alone in the forest once, but he did look conflicted about following Asher’s orders. They all have a lot to learn about humans; Asher the most. Yes, compared to any immortal, humans are weak but we are resourceful, and will fight back if we are pushed too far. I think I have been pushed too far.
