Good day, Paxis Pontellius, captain of the Imperial Piletan Navy and descendant of a mighty politician. I have specifically ordered you not to call me until the boy has led to you Del Cealus and you have arrived there. “I hope that this is the case because otherwise, you will be punished severely. On which part of the floating island are you, Paxis?”

Caleb bellowed, diving in right after, strong strokes cutting through the waves toward us. I sputtered, arms flailing, the current tugging because the ship was still moving slow but steady. Ava bobbed up nearby, panicking, arms thrashing. "Liv! help!" Caleb reached me first, grabbing my arm. "Liv, I got you… " But Ava that attention seeker had jumped with me and she was sinking, coughing, her pregnant belly making it hard, and I shoved him off underwater, bubbles exploding from my mouth as I pushed hard. I felt sorry for him, being a captain of a great football team entails a lot of responsibilities, commitment and expectations from what I've seen. I have always hated hockey players, especially the famous ones, and Carter happened to be the most famous player on campus. Damon coasted backward, turning toward the stands to wipe sweat from his brow with his glove. His dark eyes scanned the perimeter until they locked onto me standing by the tunnel. Even from fifty feet away across a crowded ice rink, I saw his entire demeanor shift. The ruthless, cutthroat captain melted away. A tiny, quiet smile touched his lips—a private, subtle look meant entirely for me. My betraying heart gave a sudden, painful flutter. I couldn't help it. I smiled back.

Looking at his messages, all wagging tail like a big dog, I thought back to how he'd been all afternoon, eyes on nothing but the puck. The guy wasn't actually mean-hearted. He was just completely oblivious to how people worked. I typed out a line. "I watched your old game tapes. Everyone's just recklessly aggressive, dropping the gloves at the drop of a hat, all chasing the spotlight, and you play like a bunch of strangers. It doesn't matter how good the tactics are if the captain doesn't give a damn about his own teammates and lets bullying slide right under his nose." He fired back a shocked reaction sticker in a heartbeat.

Cronus peeks out from the kitchen archway his mouth rammed with frosting that he has sneakily stolen from papa's bowl. "All right, we won't be long Cronus." "Your brother likes to eat," Phobos declares an indiscernible smirk on his face as he observes my brother who gawks at my male with irritation. These two are constantly at war like siblings and Phobos intentionally does or says things to provoke him further just to gauge his reaction for he finds him amusing. He treats him as though he is a pup sometimes, indeed he is nine years younger than him but I have never seen my mate be so playful with another other than Deimos and me.
