Howell explained. "Find a solution!" Carl yelled in frustration. "You must find a way to cure her!" Carl slammed his phone against the wall, feeling helpless. The brutal death of Lucy, whom he had cherished since childhood, and the serious condition of his daughter had him questioning if he was fated to lose everyone he loved. Her voice was so panicked, I looked over at her.

Lucas: "...." He looked around and saw the crowd's strange gazes directed at them. Carl's shouting attracted other people's attention. Lucas covered Carl's mouth and dragged him away behind the deserted broken fountain. Carl then continued cursing Lucas for being blind in love. He pointed out how his smart friend become foolish. He blamed him for sacrificing a part of his soul that result in an unimaginable and unrecovery loss. Carl vented his anger and frustration for quite some time. When he was done, Lucas tapped his shoulder.

"How can she regain her sight?" His friend was taken aback, never having seen Carl so unsettled. "Are you just now realizing the severity of this?" he asked, a hint of reproach in his tone. "I informed you earlier that her mental state was fragile. How did we get to this point?" Carl's voice dropped to a chilling whisper. "I asked you, how can she regain her sight?"

Carlos takes out a pocket knife out of his pants pocket, and pulls my father's head back so that he can look at him. "What do you say boys?...An eye for an eye?" Shit, this was about me!!! The men get louder and cheer Carlos on. I can't move, or speak. Is this real? Am I dreaming? Carlos takes the knife and stabs my father in the eye, and rips his eye ball out! Carl opens the drawer on his right and takes out a tube before squeezing the cream on his palm " let me" he murmurs and I lift my arm to give him space. Thankfully, today I wore a sports bra and not the lingeries I normally wear.
