The Alpha's Hidden Child

The Alpha's Hidden Child

He responded, then winked at me. My eyes widened, and I shifted my gaze out of the window. This. Guy. Is. Just. Too. Smooth. *** “Mommy, we’re at a carnival! I’ve only seen those moving horses on TV! Can we ride them later, mommy?” I patted his head and nodded. “Of course, you can!” “You can ride everything you want to ride today because I got us free passes,” Kairo added, smiling at the two children. I also smiled at their interaction.

Lisa A. Moon
I love this story. At beginning it reminded me of Cinderella story. The way it started out, but in a different way. It had some twist and turns. You definitely could feel the character and how she felt.

I like this book a lot. If you like the regret/baby wingman/character growth troupe, then I suggest this book for you. Kudos to the author for the not-so-short chapters as well.. P.S. Dalton is so funny

Taming the varsity player

Taming the varsity player

If my life were a movie, the main character would be a background extra. "Eloise, the high-protein horse mash goes in the north paddock bins, not the south. If Mr. Montgomery’s stallion gets colic because you can't read a label, it’s your paycheck."

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Marrying a Disabled CEO in My Sister's Place

Alice watched her daughter ask, very concentrated “Like... Spelling? I’ve seen older girls get candy for this when I’m at daycare.” “No, Millie. Competitions between horses are a little different than those between humans.” Josh laughed “I can explain a little more about this to you or even show you some videos of Cobalt in action. Who knows, one day the boss might let me take you to cheer on one of our horses at the hippodrome or at events at one of the Bianchi family's stud farms. They have many.” “Hippo...?” Millie furrowed her eyebrows, trying to repeat the word.

Chasing His Ex-Wife

Chasing His Ex-Wife

She shouldn't be thinking of that bloody and disgusting fellow. “Alright. Come my baby, mummy will help you take your bath.” “Mummy, do horses fly?” Nelly laughed. “Oh no! Horses don't fly, my dear.” “But I watched a cartoon and the horses were flying and…” “It's a cartoon, that is the reason. Real horses don't fly, okay?” “Okay mummy.” “Now, be good and mummy will give you a bath, so that you will be clean and smell sweet and fresh!”

Red Velvet & Anemones (Pagosa Cliff, Book One)

Red Velvet & Anemones (Pagosa Cliff, Book One)

Cajun stopped and looked around. “Are we here, old man?” Lloyd didn’t think it anything weird at all to be talking to a horse. Cajun just snorted and stomped. Looking around, Lloyd saw no one in the dense tree cover, but that didn’t mean they weren’t close. Ben’s horse was the smartest animal Lloyd had ever encountered. It even did tricks. When they were all in high school, Camille and Willamina had spent the summer teaching him the tricks. Ben had taken them to the state fair to see the dancing horses. Over the next long winter, he had taught the old paint pony some new tricks. Lloyd almost smiled remembering how Ben would send it out after a coyote, like a trained dog after a fox. Lloyd ea

Seduction under silk sheets

Seduction under silk sheets

Shortly thereafter, he shifted his attention back to me, the anticipation of his words hanging in the air. “Have you ridden a horse before?” he asked and I raised a brow. No I haven’t ridden one before. While I had witnessed countless portrayals of horse riding in movies and games, the experience had eluded me. The closest encounter with a horse-like creature had been a black pony, a birthday gift for Kate. Tragically, the pony's life was cut short, despite Kate's fantasy of becoming a queen with a pony sidekick. Her uncle, who owned a ranch, had presented the pony in pursuit of her whimsical dreams.

He nestled back on the couch cushion as Sidney summoned the movie on the flatscreen. “What’s this one about?” Cameron managed between ravenous bites. Noodles spilled from his greased lips. “The Headless Horseman.” “The Headless Horseman?” “Yeah, he’s a ghost who chops off people’s heads.” “Then why is he headless?” “Cam, just watch the movie. It will answer your questions.” Cameron’s eyes widened in the reflective light of the screen. “What’s it rated?” he asked. “R.” Sidney shoved a large bite of orange chicken between her teeth, waiting to see his reaction.

When Arrows Fly

When Arrows Fly

I raised my eyebrow at her words, saying, “It’s because of you – why I’m like this – why I’m hurting right now.” “How so? What did I do?” She asked, her eyebrows raised in worry, “Is it because I touch those hoax horses that can’t even gallop even if they move? And those carriages, why do they even have faces? I’m sorry for being curious,” Rubin bowed her head and I shake in silent laughter, amused by her descriptions. Who calls carousels, hoax horses? “Right,” I successfully said after trying not to laugh, “It’s not hoax horses, they are actually called carousels – anyway – the reason why I am hurting is because I broke a promise.” I winced as my chest tighten.

Fallon’s Reid: An Arranged Contract

Fallon’s Reid: An Arranged Contract

Prologue Early 2000s The whining of the horses at the ranch made my heart race, but I refused to back down. Fear wasn’t going to win today. “I’m not scared of horses,” I muttered to myself, as if saying it out loud would make it true—or maybe scare off whatever ghosts made these creatures seem so intimidating. I pushed the wooden stall door open and stepped inside. The chestnut brown filly stood tall, her coat gleaming in the sunlight streaming through the barn window. This was Honey, my dad’s favorite.

Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire

Divorce and Regret, His Ex-wife is a Billionaire

“I mean, come on. I love Cameron and all, but could Dillon BE any more perfect?” I giggled. Stella was right. Dillon was pretty perfect. I’d harbored fantasies of owning my own horse for an entire year after the visit that summer when I was twelve. Not only had Dillon remembered, he’d gone out and bought me a horse, just to make that fantasy come true. And not just any horse. A thorough bred, racing horse. “Which one is yours?” Stella asked as we approached the stands. All the horses were parading around the race track, the jockeys on their backs.
