Cash Prize Competitions Novels & Stories

“Do you know about the corporate Hackathon that’s coming up?” “Of course. We’re sending in our top developers to participate in it.” “Really?” I asked, “What’s the prize money?” “Ten thousand dollars.” “Wow, what?” I exclaimed. “That’s a lot of money.” “Yes. They intend to find a talented coder through the competition. The prize money is just one of the perks. They have more.” “Such as?” “Well, a lot of companies have their eyes on the competition. The winners and runners up will be given a lot of opportunities, job proposals, what not. It is great for one’s CV.”

The preliminary stage takes 9 episodes of the show, the semifinal takes 3 episodes and the final, an episode. There are prizes for winners in this competition. The first, second and third position in each category receives a cash prize of different amounts, laptops, trophies and medals. The fourth to sixth position in each category also receives cash prizes of the same amount. All eliminated semifinalists and students eliminated in the preliminaries are also not left out in the receiving of cash prizes but theirs is lesser depending on when they were disqualified. Aside from this, every participating student gets a tablet each; text books and computer systems are given to the winner's school

‘So generous…’ “Everyone.. Before I announce the winners, I also have another announcement to make..” The others waited with bated breath. ‘Is it another couple going to announce their relationship?’ “So, not only will the consolation prize be a laptop.. They have also thrown in a phone, and a gift card that you can use to shop!” “Oh my god!!! Are you for real?!! Wow!!!!!” The crowd exclaimed. “Yes! On top of that, there’s also a cash prize added to all participants!”

The crowd instantly screamed out their agreement. It turned out that for each of the four earlier athletic competitions the prize for winning was a gift certificate for dinner for two at a top restaurant. Two restaurants — both in Los Angeles — were included, Maxim’s and The Palm. Both Dacey and Brad received four certificates each, and then Dacey squealed when she learned that, for winning the Miss Aerospace Technologies competition, she had won five more.

APRIL Excitement buzzed through me as I looked through my application one last time. Competitions were my favorite part of schooling, it had always been so since I was a toddler and nothing changed up till now. We didn’t have much competitions at Enigma, but the few we had were always bloody, students would go to any length to win and one couldn’t blame them because the school always put up pretty amazing cash prizes to be won. This time around, we were gearing up for the Jaw Wars, an annual oratory competition where the winner went home with a ten thousand dollar cash prize, an all expense paid summer trip, and free tutoring sessions.

Anyone who shared the post would be in the running for a 1,000 dollar cash giveaway, with a total of 10 slots. With the cash giveaway on the table, the number of comments and shares surged at the speed of light. Soon, it was time for the live stream.

With that, she said nothing more. "This is so weird. She insisted that the prize is for you and said she's bringing it over personally," Alice said, sipping her coffee. "And can you guess why?" Macie frowned slightly and shook her head. Stores like that usually offer promotions only to members who've spent above a certain amount. "She said that today was their 'Lucky Day' event," Alice said amusedly. "They supposedly pick random customers who were caught on their surveillance tapes. Anyone who enters the store, whether they make a purchase or not, is automatically entered in the lucky draw."

Nick and the sheriff shook their heads with amusement. Goldman handed Lance his credit card. “We want a big ass order of wings with ranch and blue cheese on the side and three beers. Keep the beers comin’. We also want to know more about this wet nightie contest.” Lance laughed. “All right, big guy. The winner gets a $700 prize, runner-up gets $500, and third place gets $200. The contest will start in thirty minutes.” “That sounds great, buddy, thanks,” Goldman said and patted him on the back.

Kashira informs me, looking to have calculated things beforehand as he stares suggestively at me who sits up in my chair. For him to have arrived alone means he trusts me to decide to provide these variables. Reading his unvoiced suggestion, I press, “How are the matches structured, do we have to participate in a single or more matches?” Kashira shrugs casually, “Tonight’s game is only a single match- a private one, so expect the guys from the top echelon littering those VIP seats. It’s a gold mine, the cash prize is no smoke”.
