"Sure, sure. There are still houses available. The rent's just a little high." He sneered inwardly. Rich people really knew how to play the game. They had dressed like this on purpose because they were afraid of getting robbed. No wonder he had misjudged them. Looking more closely, their clothes might be filthy, and their faces might look half-starved, but the weight on their bodies didn't lie. Nicole asked, "How much is the rent?" "These are all villas, so they're rented by the whole house. Most of them have already been taken by people with money. Only a few near the top of the hill are left."

I pulled open the passenger side of his pickup and hopped in. "Not scared?" he challenged. I just smirked. He didn't say another word, slamming his foot on the gas and sending the truck surging forward. We pulled up in front of a unit at the far end of a row of pre-fabs. This was the temporary housing for the site management and foremen, slightly better than the workers' dorms, but still stripped-back and raw. "This is where you're taking me?" I asked, leaning back against the cool corrugated metal wall as I watched him.

"Marianne, this complicates things. We can't let personal feelings interfere with our arrangement. It was never meant to be more than a business deal." Marianne felt a pang of disappointment. She glanced at him, looking for some empathy, but she didn't. She sighed. "I rented you as my bride, nothing more, nothing less. I paid your mother's hospital bills, I pay you for doing a good job, but this... I can't accept your feelings, we didn't agree on that, Marianne. To me..." she looked at him. "You're just a bride whom I RENTED."

"So, whose house are you renting? Mr Full or Mrs Casss?" Everest took a seat at the other stool before the counter. "Mrs Casss'. It's a small house at the end of town, near a ranch." "Ooh," the two other people in the room ooohed. That seemed to have gotten both their attention. "I didn't know Mrs Cass had property on that side of town," Vaughn said.

“Yeah, sure. I’ll keep her alive while you brood in the dark.” Kael didn’t bite back. Instead, he gestured toward the grand staircase. “Second floor. My closet’s open. Clean yourself up.” Fenrak smirked. “Ah yes, the infamous Kael Draven closet. Two stories tall, filled with relics from kingdoms that don’t even exist anymore. I’ll be sure to pick something fashionable from your collection of dust and moths.” Rhea almost smiled despite herself. Fenrak, for all his arrogance, had a way of cutting tension with his sarcasm. Still, his swagger didn’t hide the limp in his step as he trudged up the staircase, muttering about “brands older than Ashwood itself.”

“Ye lads got more ‘crew?’ We’re gonna need security. And an advanced alarm system. I want this place sealed tighter than the crown jewels.” Callum grinned, slipping an arm around my waist. “Aye, lass. We’ve got more crew. And they’ll be glad tae move in.” Keiran kissed the side of my head. “This castle’s gonna be the safest bloody fortress in the country.” I smiled. “Good. Because this is home now. And I want all of us protected.” As if to prove my point, a set of French doors at the end of the hall opened to reveal a view of the inner courtyard. There were stone paths, lush gardens, and a huge central fountain pouring into the moat beyond. Yes. The actual moat.

When I do, I can see that there are two coming our way. I look at Drake and hold up two fingers, pointing in the direction that the two are coming. He and I take off in the opposite direction. When we’re far enough away, I stop, turning to check behind us. “They must have some sort of alarm when someone passes through the barrier,” I say quietly. We double back toward the scent of magic and find an old castle. Drake’s creepy castle has nothing on this one. It has vines growing up the walls, and huge turrets with gargoyles on the top. It’s dark and dank looking, with torches burning in the front.

Rocket job is as a police officer, and he was informed that Ayers would not use the police to stop the coach from leaving the school grounds. Rocket waited for his wife, aka Mrs Sprocket and Belle Rose to arrive back home from school so he can tell them. Finally, Belle Rose and Mes Sprocket arrived back from school. Belle Rose was able to see a book about the castle that she is going to, and she was about to find out that she will be able to buy the book from a book shop near the hotel that she as well as rest of the group of students are going to stay at. Belle Rose and Mrs Sprocket sat down at the table after getting clothes out for the following morning. Rocket came into the dining room,

“No need. The police are already here.” I stepped aside to let them in. One officer looked around the room. “Who is the tenant?” Mark was on the balcony. Hearing the commotion, he rushed out. “I am. I’m the tenant.” He didn’t understand what was going on, but when he saw Claire’s expression, he seemed to realize something was wrong. “Who rented this apartment to you?” “It was... Claire.” “What is your relationship with her?” “I was married to her sister.” “Did you know the market rent for this apartment is ten thousand dollars a month? And she rented it to you for three hundred dollars a month for three years.”

She asked. "Yes mummy. Aunt Rose is here to take care of me too" she said. "Rose?" She asked. Rose appeared on the screen, holding a plate of biscuits for Chloe. "Look who forgot about me" Rose said. "Oh, you know I can't forget you. How's your mother?" "She's doing well. She sends her greetings to you" Rose replied. "Thanks for taking care of Chloe" "Anytime, I have the opportunity of staying here in the Croydon's manor. It's huge as fuck! Do you know they make wine behind this castle?" She whispered.
