It was a quick unit, one of the few books where I had more troubles with students reading ahead than keeping up. Getting my hands on a new book is something close to magical for me. I finally bid Caleb goodbye, and the next thing I know...the shotgun seat of the truck was right in front of me. Dom went out and held the door open. I mindlessly entered the vehicle while holding the book, reading its sypnosis. I tried to find something that might help me, but I found nothing.

When the sun the up? Oh, well. I throw my phone carefully on the blue pillow on the bed. I haven’t read in a bit, so I take one of my favorite books. Though I have read it numerous times, it’s an epic book. I run my finger on the letters on the cover page of the book. The letters reads: THE OUTSIDERS. I sigh satisfyingly and begin my book. In a minute, I’m already lost in the world of ‘Ponyboy Curtis’, the book’s narrator.

During my rampage of a small bookshelf on the wall next to the bed, I find classic books such as, The Catcher in the Rye, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and so on. Spotting amongst the classics a leather bound book with no title or author. I slowly open it and inside handwritten pages are revealed. May 12th 1998

I can’t remember turning it on. I bend down to pick up the book. It was his favorite, ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ by J. D. Salinger. He took it everywhere he went. The day I had to collect his things at the hospital, it was just this and an old jacket that once belonged to my dad. The book, old and worn, has scribbled handwriting inside, like it was written in a hurry before the thought was lost. I close my eyes and open it on a random page. I read the first quote I can find:

Ohh shit! The damage he can do to himself is more than the damage I can do to him. I closed the cameras, then I went to his room. He was in the shower, I sat on his bed waiting for him. I looked at the book which he is reading: where the things come back by Corey Whaley ( I suggest you read it, dear readers ) I smiled at the memory when my father forced me to read it and it was amazing. I put the book on his nightstand when I saw another book Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jess Andrews.
