She bites her lower lip— white teeth sinking into red flesh— then turns, smiling at the bartender. "Whisky please. Rocks." Her gaze returns to me, and she raises her eyebrows. "Make that two," I say, not leaving her gaze. A minute later he places the drinks in front of us, her hand immediately reaching out to bring it to her lips. "Katherine," she says after taking a slow sip, "but my friends call me Kat." "Adam, but everyone calls me Emilio." "I think I'll stick with Adam," she replies haughtily, daring me to tell her otherwise. I lean in closer to her, trailing her body with my eyes again. I can't stop looking at her legs. She notices, and again raises an eyebrow.

I raised my right eyebrow questioningly at him as I asked "Really, is that all you came here to say?" "No, sorry,.." he coughed, clearing his throat and he continued. Opening the door, Christiana stood in front of her. "I forgot my handbag and umbrella at your house." "So sorry for the inconvenience." Her voice was laced with remorse. Staring at her, Daisy Hunter said," What, No, it's really okay…I too forget my stuff in people's homes." Daisy Hunter said, smiling gleefully, exposing her perfect dentition. Stepping into the dimly lit room, Christiana spotted her handbag and umbrella, grabbing it, she thanked Daisy and stepped out immediately.

Yet no one spared her any pint of mercy. Blake hesitated as he looked at the stubborn woman before him. He knew if it weren't for her, he would be nothing. But how would he trust her after what he saw. Kyla stood firmly by the door, as if claiming her place. She saw Catherine move swiftly towards her, feeling herself flying down the staircase. “No, Cate, what have you done!” Blake looked in panic as Kyla rolled down the hard staircase. Kyla welcomed the impact of the stairs as she closed her eyes, wrapping her hands protectively around her stomach.

At ten o'clock the next morning, Catherine was awakened and ushered by Eddie to the living room, where she asked for a small breakfast. Arriving in the grand living room, Catherine Brown, soon to be Catherine Richmond, was one of those obnoxiously attractive women who turned every head when she walked into a room. She had curly, glossy blonde hair, bottomless, deep cobalt eyes, and a perfect body that showed no signs of stress as she sauntered down the stairs. If they didn’t know her, they probably hated her. Or, at the very least, die of jealousy. And not only was she remarkable, but she was about to get married to one of the richest men in London.

Catherine had gotten so bold under Blake's protection that she was plotting treason out loud in his own study. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. "If you want Blake to sever our mate bond, you'd be better off asking me." Catherine's face went white, but she recovered fast. "What are you doing here? Blake said only I'm allowed in his study!" I met her gaze and pointed at the two male wolves. "Is that so? Then who are they?" Her eyes darted. "I don't know what you're talking about." I nodded and turned as if to leave. "You don't know? Fine, Catherine. How do you think Blake would react if I told him I caught you scheming with wolves from another pack?"
