POV DARLENE The Abyss was no longer just a hole in the earth; it was a rhythmic, breathing lung of the planet that exhaled the concentrated sorrow of nineteen generations. As Eryx and I stood at the jagged edge of the rift, the Black-Emerald light rising from the depths didn't just illuminate the ruins of the North—it "translated" them into a landscape of obsidian and grief. You hold the nexus, Jessica, but it is a spark in the abyss. Your hollowness is its flame. Weave reality’s end, or its rebirth, and pay the price.”

Every breath a war. And then, the Ancient Ones appeared not from the earth this time, but from the rifts themselves, eyes glowing with incomprehensible light. Their voices resonated inside my mind, deep and hollow. “Child of the Moon. You are chosen. The Abyss flows through you not by chance. It is alive. You are its vessel. You are the herald of a new dawn or its destruction.” I staggered, barely holding myself upright, the markings along my skin pulsing violently, veins of shadow crawling over my flesh. “I… I am not ready,” I whispered, even as the Abyss laughed within me. You already are. You were born ready. You have no choice.

Steven replied. “Firstly, how did all the council members get killed and replaced without a single soul knowing about it? Even their families are unaware that their husbands and wives are fake. Secondly, what are abyss demons?” Noah asked. “When abyss demons with the ranking of lords kill mortal beings, the person is instantly teleported to the abyss realm. They must have learned everything they had to know about the council before hand, so their job was clean. Abyss demons are creatures from a realm in a completely separate reality from ours. It's a lot to explain, but you'll find out enough when you encounter one yourself, Noah Montgomery,” Gabriella spoke.

Alexander said to the reaper. "Lucifer is restless. Today he went to Blackhound. We can't allow him to stay in this realm," the reaper continued. "We can't do anything. He is not a normal demon. He is Lucifer. It is just he is flying high ignoring me," Alexander said and smiled. "Alright, then I would take my leave," the reaper vanished after Alexander ended the chat. As the reaper left, Alexander came to the window and opened one panel of it. Suddenly, a raven flew towards him and sat on the nearby tree, looking at him.

Jade's POV The air in the subterranean core of the Cavallo Estate didn't smell like the rest of the house. Upstairs, it was the scent of expensive floor wax and old secrets; down here, it was the smell of ozone, chilled coolant, and the low, constant thrum of pure, unadulterated power.
