It was a peaceful night for all and I know that it is a shifting night- which means many werewolves will be roaming around. I left the Palace with a hoodie on, it was not just a hoodie. One of my wizard friend casted magic on it...it's basically my source of protection. It is a black knitted hoodie that once I put on, made me invisible...like any other magic, it is for limited time only and my Hoodie has a 24 hours magic capacity. It was night. "Good night King Uncle." He went and kiss me in mu forehead. "Goodnight baby. Don't stay up too late, we will going to see your cousin's engagement tomorrow."

He was a bright spot in my days, even if he did sometimes show up with bruises peppering his skin, delving beneath the neckline of his t-shirt. Before I knew it, Saturday rolled around. Tomorrow night we’d perform the ritual that would bind me to the coven. It was almost surreal. Typically, I’d work eight hours, six days a week, but Ryker had convinced Lucille to cut my hours that day for an impromptu training session. There are celebrations.” I hesitate. “Not that there are very many children left.” We’re all quiet for a minute. Let the light of the moon wrap around your hunger and quiet it, put it to sleep.”

That process sounded excruciating and beyond painful, but the protection it offered was worth it. "How long does it take?" "The carving itself? About an hour. The healing and activation process takes another day or two." She looked up from her journal. "I'll need payment upfront. This kind of magic doesn't come cheap." I pulled out an envelope full of cash and set it on the table. Elena opened it, counted the bills, and nodded her approval. "I'll need the person here before evening," she said. "Full moon's the best time for this kind of work."
