That crystal ring slipped from my finger, falling into the water with a splash.
Having been taken aback by the movements of the fish, my hands had pushed in even deeper, going in search of my ring, while I cried for mother to come help me out.
Apparently, Ruko had plans of his own. He would swim around my fingers, making a swirl, preventing me from prying at the sand underneath.
So much for missing me.
