I asked him, “You made that darn alpha angry.” But he was not even moving or looking at me. I tried to reach out to him but my chains pulled me. It was not long enough to reach him. “Damn you! I still haven’t made you and your brother pay!” It’s crazy to think how I consider them as the enemy and now that we are both faced with a common enemy, I don’t have any choice but to team up with him.

I felt his strength merge with my energy, doubling the force pushing against the chains.

The Alpha of the IronClaw Pack?” He nodded. My breath caught. Rohan — the son of Zoe Sylvia, my father’s greatest enemy. They were once best friends before betrayal turned them into rivals. Even after Rohan’s father passed away, the enmity was passed down to him.

My wolf inside me started clawing, restless and desperate. “You there!” I heard him call. It couldn’t be me, not at all. I kept my eyes on the ground, hoping it wasn’t me. “Bring her here,” he commanded the guards. Strong hands grabbed my arms, pulling me forward. I could feel every pair of eyes on me as the guards shoved me along. My knees buckled, and I fell to the ground in front of the Alpha. I kept my head low, trying to make sense of what was happening.

She tried to run away until she found herself chained to the alpha king. He throws me inside the dark room. I could only feel hatred and fear. “Get me out of here, Damon!” I screamed. He walked close to me and lifted my chin to meet his cold brown eyes. “No, you won't, Athena.” He said darkly and with his strength, I felt the cold chains locking my ankle. I tried to kick him and squirm out of his arms. “No! Please…let me go—” I gasp when he tightly gripped my jaw. Tears stream down my eyes. “You are…chained to me, Athena.
