I slammed the axe into his wrists, cutting off his right hand in the process. “Ahh!!!” He screamed, squirming in anguish as the silver seeped into his open wound.

I ask, scoffing. He reaches out, taking Clem’s hands and placing them palm up in his. Her hands are worse than his face and her neck combined. A portion of her hand is missing. Her fingers are deformed and jagged. The scars move up her arm, wrapping around her skin, cutting into it as if the scar tissue were a chain, binding her to him.

X calmly reversed his blade, so that the spine was against his forearm. He pushed his arm to the side and with a flicked his wrist. “AAAHHH” shouted the man. With in the flick of his wrist, X cut though the man’s hand and the handle of the axe. The reaction was so fast that the mans fingers and handle to the axe fell as one, while his fingers attempted to grip the axe’s handle. X did not stop there. He quickly retracted the blade, dropped his elbow and pushed up.

After hours of contemplation, I realized that was the problem. I turn, so that my back is to his front, and he is now cuddling me from behind. And because I am feeling extremely bold today, I take that hand in mine and turn the palm upward, so I can see it. It is a brutal scar. The wound hadnt been given enough attention or time to heal, if it had, it wouldn’t have left such a bad scar, filling his palm with calluses and dead flesh.

The man seemed as if he were genuinely considering his words. He looked at Harvey with dimly glistened eyes. The man coughed hard at his stiff vocal cords. He seemed to have not spoken in a long time. He looked directly at Harvey; this was something that rarely happened. He then stuck out his hand and motioned him to come closer. Three fingernails were missing from the fingers of his outstretched right hand. The blood on his fingers had dried up, which looked eerie and terrifying.

My breath caught as the man in chains lashed out at Xavier. Odd that my heart would skip a beat for Xavier’s safety, but he didn’t even flinch. I couldn’t see his face clearly, just his profile cloaked in shadows.
