The Moon's Descendant

The Moon's Descendant

I rested my head on my paws and closed my eyes as I panted softly. My eyes flew open and I sat upright, I had fallen asleep in the grass. I held my arm out and examined my hand, turning it around in front of my face. Human again. I looked around me at the forest. The sun had already begun to set, and it was getting dark. Oh no, I’m late, Dad will kill me. I stood up and looked down at myself. Crap! I'm naked. Do I really have to go back, couldn’t I just live in the forest now? You know, survive off the land and all that? I shivered as the last bit of sun left me and wrapped my arms around myself. Who am I kidding. I don’t know the first thing about surviving in the wild. I'd barely last the

The story is really good! The writer seemed to be learning how to tell the story from two perspectives. At first the author rewrote whole scenes but listened to readers and adapted it a little better. Still some time jump with perspective changes. Zelena has so many powers it seems a lil contrived.

This book was so well written! it caught my attention from the start and kept me hooked continuously! Some parts got confusing during the 2 POVs when something happened in 1 but not the other. If this was published on paper I'd buy it. What a fantastic read ! well done ! Im off to read part 2 ☺️

The OutCast Luna

Yet, with each passing day, their resilience grew stronger, fueled by the collective desire to protect their family. Finally, after traversing treacherous landscapes and overcoming numerous challenges, the pack stumbled upon a hidden valley. It is a place untouched by winter's merciless grip — an oasis of life amidst the bleakness. Lush grasses swayed in the gentle breeze, and prey grazed freely without fear or scarcity. The pack's exhaustion evaporated as we beheld the bounty before us. Hope surged through their veins, reinvigorating their tired bodies. Zena's eyes glimmered with pride as she watched her pack mates feast upon the abundance that nature had provided.

She stepped aside and let me in. We sat down on the couch, and she looked at me in silence waiting for me to start. "I'm going to tell you the way my father told me." "Okay that's vague..." she scrunched her face up in confusion. "Just listen, long ago before the white man conquered this land there was a tribe that found a babe in the woods one winter night. The babe was not scared or out of place. No, it was nestled in the center of a wolf pack. An expectant mother from the village heard a coo in the night and went searching for the source. When she laid eyes on the wolves she felt no fear, for they protected the babe and kept it warm from the winter. The wolves knew this human pup could no

THE RUTHLESS ALPHA'S MARKED BRIDE

THE RUTHLESS ALPHA'S MARKED BRIDE

They pitied me for years while I planned a future that never existed. Tears blur everything. I trip over a root and fall hard, scraping my knees, but I push up and keep going. The dress tears at the hem. I do not stop to fix it. I just want to disappear. The trees grow thicker here. I realize I have crossed the border into the Wildlands. Neutral territory. Rogues. Dangerous wolves who answer to no pack. Normally that thought would terrify me. Right now it feels like exactly where I belong. Let something out here end this nightmare.

Rejected But Unbroken :Fated For The Cruel Alpha

Rejected But Unbroken :Fated For The Cruel Alpha

If I paused, I knew that I would break down, and I could not afford that, so I simply kept moving. Hours passed, and the sun began to set, standing higher in the sky. That was the first time I got a perception of the time and realized that I had not eaten just yet. With that knowledge in my head, I paused briefly to eat some wild berries I found along the way, returning some of my energy, just enough to keep going. The forest was my friend, its old, aged trees telling me tales of those who had walked these paths before me. I felt a strange sense of community with the creatures of the wild, as if they understood the things that were going on in my mind.

This book is definitely about a strong woman & the various trials she faces & overcomes. The only issue is the reading availability every few days. It makes you want to find another to read instead.

Why do Brad like treating Layla like that? He's a bad guy but in a loving way and now begging for her love. Isn't that foolishness ? You don't love a woman but you're begging for her love now after calling her weak.

Silver Throne Rising

Silver Throne Rising

And every night, I heard howls in the distance: rogues, wild animals, or worse. But I kept moving north. Always north. The compass became my lifeline, and my mother’s journal my constant companion. Each night, new instructions appeared on its pages: how to start a fire without matches when mine ran out, which plants were safe to eat, how to hide my scent trail from pursuing wolves. You’re doing well, my brave girl,* the journal read on the third night. But your body is reaching its limits. Tomorrow, you’ll need to rest. There’s a safe place ahead: a clearing with a freshwater spring. Stop there.

Campus Wilds

Her voice cracks, the last word spat like a challenge or perhaps a prayer. She thinks of the stories in the group chats and the cautionary tales whispered in Omega support groups: bright, ambitious girls who show up at freshman orientation, only to vanish midway through the first semester. Some reappear years later, glazed-eyed and pliant, their academic dreams replaced by a different kind of purpose. Most don’t come back at all. Lyric's mother warned her every summer—never trust an Alpha in a confined space, never fall asleep with the door unlocked, never believe that your bond is stronger than your ambition. But no warning or suppressant regimen could have prepared her for the reality of i

The Wild Between Us

The Wild Between Us

The mist curled low between the trees, it was foggy, swallowing the world in silence. Irvine tried to breathe it in, let the calm settle her, but something about the woods made her restless. Every rustle, every snap of a twig, they rang louder than it should. Her ears caught sounds farther away than possible: the flutter of birds high inthe sky, the tiny footsteps of a rabbit beneath roots. Her senses were sharper, too sharp. Garrick dismounted first, tying his harnesses to a branch with practiced ease. “The tracks will be fresher deeper in,” he murmured, his tone low but hungry. “Stay close.”

Wild Winter

Wyatt says through his teeth. I sit back in my seat, staring out the windshield at the passing cars and trees. We're almost home. But I'm not sure I can even call it that anymore. It's not been a home for a while now. Or if it has, I've not been a part of it. I've got to try to do better. For the kids. For Grandpa. For me. For Wyatt. But most importantly, for Wilder. As he turns into the driveway, I try one more time. “Look, if you would just let me explain-”
