Chapter 32: A Joyful Celebration Rebecca's birthday arrived on a beautiful Saturday. The sun shone brightly, and the air felt fresh and full of promise. Liam had planned everything in secret for weeks. He wanted this day to be special. He rented a nice hall near the park with a big garden. Flowers decorated the tables. Colorful lights hung from the ceiling. He invited her family, his mother, and all their close friends. Anna was there too, smiling from ear to ear. The room filled with laughter and happy chatter as people arrived.

Hi, Sam here. Hi everyone. It's been so long since I talked here right? It's been hectic these last few weeks. I'm writing my semi final exams and it's not easy at all 😭 But... Guess what? For the past few days Charlene noticed something unusual about him, he wasn't harsh on her like before. Coming to terms with what happened on my birthday four years ago was the hardest thing I have ever had to do . Something on the wall caught my eye as I popped an aspirin into my mouth — the calendar. The date, the sixteenth, was circled in red—April’s birthday. Tomorrow would mark the day. Even though the date was etched in my mind, I always made a point of marking it on my calendar.
