Chapter 8 Great Gatsby

After my father, I started working as a Beta for the Alpha of my pack. He was not an alpha just because he had Alpha's blood or had the abilities to become Alpha. He was an Alpha because he was mated to the Alpha's daughter, Mrs. Stacey Adams Brown. She had all the qualities of becoming an Alpha and leading the pack. She was sweet, kind and a great leader. But she let her mate rule the pack. She was everything that anyone wanted in his mate but everything changed two months back when her mate... The love of her life left her for another woman who could bear his child as the Luna was barren. She went from the woman that believed in mate bond to someone who used to make fun of it. Lucas Benjamin is used to objectification. He knows the women only come to him for his money. He is kind of used to it. Zavier, the Alpha of the Crescent pack, sits at a large wooden table in his office surrounded by his trusted advisors. He looks tense and conflicted as he addresses something important. "My dear advisors, as you know, my Luna and I have been trying to conceive a child for years, but with no success." The advisors nodded sympathetically. "After much thought and consideration, we have decided to look into surrogacy. I know this is not a conventional path for us." "However, I want to make one thing clear. We will only consider she-wolf from our own pack for this. It's important that we keep the bloodline within our community." Zavier's eyes wander over the group of she-wolves until his eyes landed on Sophia, locking it's glare like she's a piece of gem. There's something about her that catches his attention, and he can't look away. "You. The she-wolf with an ash grey hair." "Yes, Alpha?" "I think you would be perfect for this role. You have a strong spirit, and I believe you would make a great surrogate for my Queen." "Me, Alpha?" "Yes, you. You are the chosen one." "I'm willing to take the risk, Alpha. I would be honored to help you and our Luna Queen to have a child." In a moment of passion, Zavier impregnates Sophia, but keeps the truth hidden from his unsuspecting wife, believing that the baby will be a precious gift to her. Sophia Smith and Alexander Carter have been friends since high school, but she sees him as more than just a friend. On one hand stands her ex-husband, prepared to endure any hardship to reclaim her, and on the other hand stands a friend who is willing to go to great lengths to have her as his own.

There was a loud silence in Rayuwa. Certain things were never discussed, but everyone knew it was forbidden for the people of Rayuwa to leave the Island. The Only person that was allowed that privilege was the Sarki and his family. It was believed that in the past, to save Lafiya and prosper the land and people, the Island of Rayuwa and its people were sacrificed. They were to carry the burden of keeping the deities happy while they prospered the land and the country. The price that Rayuwa paid for this responsibility was confinement. They were never to leave the island. People had been rumoured to try and escape the Island, but they never made it. Some of them ended up as corpses washed onto the shores of Rayuwa. Soon the people just stopped trying to leave. Binta was born on the island with no hope of ever escaping until she met Adam and fell in love. When she becomes royalty, she can leave the island but the liberation of the people of Rayuwa is paramount and she and Adam work closely together to liberate the people. (The point of view of the story changes. In each chapter, different affected characters will tell the story from their point of view. This is to enable the reader to have the full understanding of the story and also understand how the characters reason.)

This story revolves around an imaginary world of a few kingdoms. Namely, Red Kingdom, Golden Haven, White Winters Land, The Great Myrtle Mountains, and Silver Heights. An ongoing war between Golden Haven and the barbaric beings threaten the balance of the supernatural world ~~~ Present Eve, a human is forcefully taken from her family to serve the Royal Pure Bloods. When Eve is taken, she is assigned to be a servant to the Dark Prince. Trapped cleaning the gloomy room most of the time, she finds comfort in the white roses placed in a small vase. The Dark Prince never wanted a personal servant but one look at the red head with bluish-green eyes forces him to give it a chance. His admiration slowly turns into obsession as he has never known what it feels like to fall for anyone. He begins to give into his possessive side and alienates Eve from her friends and family who are also taken during her time in the castle. Consumed by loneliness, Eve grows closer to the white roses. Soon after she learns more about herself and the truth behind those white blossoms of hers. Eve faces many challenges and hardships in the castle as a servant but she does not realize that there is much more to her than meets the eye. Eve has a much bigger destiny. So does the people around her. Follow them as they uncover the truth about themselves as the enemy becomes stronger on the other side of the world.

He was about to lean in when I put my fingers on his lips to stop him. He looked at me surprised. I too was surprised over my own actions, not only was I turning down something that I wanted, but I was turning the man that I loved down. I knew that it maybe was a once in a lifetime opportunity. He could regain back his past memory and hate me for loving him. On the other hand, it would be a beginning of a great romance, either ways it felt so wrong to do anything with him in his current condition. "We need to bath okay," I said in a whisper. He took a step backward, his eyes slowly roaming all over my body making me uncomfortable. "You don't remember how to do anything right? I asked stupidly trying to strike a conversation with him. "This is crazy," I whispered to myself hopelessly.

Was he always like this?  "Don't feel so good about yourself Alexander; I didn't. I was only trying to make a baby." She snapped.   "But yet you forgot your pants." Alexander teased her again, and her mouth opened, then closed.  —---- Amid her beautiful face and rising fame, Anita harbors a secret mission–to save her child. The world may think she was in Los Angeles to cement her acting career but deep down, she had just one objective and aim. She needed to save her son, who suffers from blood cancer.  For that, Anita would need to go back to her worst nightmares. She was willing to go to great lengths to achieve this goal, including getting pregnant with Alexander's child and involving herself with her step-sister who regards Anita as a competitor. Even if it means stealing Alexander's sperm! Alexander was informed of the stolen sperm and after much investigation found out that Anita's son was a result of the one night many years ago. Alexander wasn't ready to let go. He wanted them as his family but Anita wanted no relationship. Anita also seeks justice and wants to reveal the truth about the events that transpired between her and Alexander in the past. She aims to regain control over her life and overcome the challenges thrown her way.
