I spoke and looked at him as he nodded and gave me a small smile. Though I didn't want to go to Nicolas again but I had to. I had to do it to get myself and my family free from the cage. A caged bird can do whatever it takes to get its freedom and I was a caged bird who kept thrashing inside the cage for freedom and finally got a glimpse of it. Now I just needed to wait for the devil's presence so that I could go with him and help Fardinn to track the location of his house. It wasn't a big deal anyway, was it?

I tilted my neck to find the room empty. I breathed out and collapsed on the floor with hot tears trailing down on my cheeks which I never knew I held.
