“I might be in your cage, but I’ll never sing for you.”
He leans in closer to my shoulder, his breath warm against my ear. “Oh, you’ll sing, Aella. Even a caged bird sings, eventually, but you do look stunning, though. Maybe this will be a good match after all.”
