Fright. Liana was afraid of the dark. Very scared. She disliked it so much. Darkness was the first thing Liana hated and disliked. It was dark without lighting or moonlight. The reason why she didn't like dark was that it made her remember the past. My entire body trembled but I still couldn’t move. I suddenly had a flash of thought that maybe I never truly felt fear because I always knew I had Godfrey, my brother in the darkness. He would always come for me. But I didn’t have my Godfrey, not tonight.

I stared at him, throat tight. Charles stepped closer, voice lowering. “I’m not happy with how you’ve been hurting that girl.” Anger flared, defensive and sharp. “I’m not hurting her.” Charles’s gaze didn’t move. “Then what do you call it?” Silence swallowed the room. Charles shook his head slowly. “Being wolfless isn’t a plague. Not knowing her father isn’t a plague either. The only plague in this story is your fear.” My jaw clenched so hard it ached.

Actually for Karen, nobody can make her think less about her sister, she knew Kayla's strength and weaknesses that people didn't know about. Kayla acted all tough, but she was always scared of little creeping insects, like spiders. Karen was stronger in this aspect, when she wanted to scare Karen, all she had to do was put a spider in front if her and Karen will scream like crazy out of freight.
