Fears To Give Your Characters Novels & Stories

Tuesday, April 19, 2022 5: 10 p.m. I’m on my counter, receiving orders again, and looking here and there, if he is here or not. I’m too afraid of him. I’m thinking about him all the time that why he is here. I can’t focus on my work and my body is still shivering. My hands are shaking while writing orders. But I have to do work. I can’t leave. I fear that if I go to home now and if he is here, he will follow me up to the home and I don’t want it to happen.

It is slippery as an eel, and every time I try to set up defences against it, it slips past them and creeps up on me until my throat is dry and my heart is pounding as my fears fight for space in my mind. I growl with frustration, punching a hole into the floor and try again. I try increasing their fear until I can crystallise and separate theirs from mine but it is easier said than done. Every time I try, fear slips behind my defences and threatens to drive me crazy. My body is shaking now with exertion and yet I cannot give up. That is the same as giving up my revenge. I grab my power and put up my defences again, so far up I cannot see the top, then I gather the terror I want them to feel

Chapter 27 One by one, the pack members stepped forward, their hearts filled with a mix of trepidation and resolve. They were transported into a realm of illusions, where their deepest fears took shape. Maya faced a towering figure, embodying her fear of inadequacy. With each swing of her claws, she confronted her doubts head-on, realizing her strength and worth. Jake confronted a mirage of his past, reliving painful memories that had haunted him for years. Through tears and determination, he let go of the weight that had held him back, embracing forgiveness and self-acceptance.

I rasp, my uneven breath returning to normalcy. “A...nightmare?” This is ridiculous. Fear is not an element of my character. Nothing scares me, and I’ve never been afraid of anything. What? She’ll reject and leave me? I huff darkly, lowering my hands to the sheets as I begin to cackle cruelly. She wants to leave me that badly, is it? Does she think that’s as far as I can go?

Kai demanded, his voice steady despite the uncertainty gnawing at him. The figure's eyes glowed with an otherworldly light. "I am the embodiment of your fears and doubts, Kai. To proceed, you must confront the shadows within yourself." Kai's heart pounded, but he stood his ground. The figure lunged at him, and Kai countered with a burst of energy from the supreme god's power. The clash of forces echoed through the hall, and Kai's determination surged. He channeled his fear into strength, striking the figure with renewed vigor. With each blow, the figure weakened until it dissipated into a wisp of smoke. Kai's resolve solidified; he had conquered his doubts.

My breath hinged, I suddenly felt like an asthmatic patient. Fuck! What's all this, how are my character's alive. First it was Anna Steve, and now it's a handsome villain who wants to make me suffer. Now I can't help but think if there's anymore character in my book who would want to see me suffer. To be honest I made a lot of characters suffer.

Even though the fog of fear is slowly lifting in the student's hearts, they still have a fear surrounding them like a black cloud "As you all know the creatures inside are sealed to not coming out ever.....they are basically now very weak creatures... using only half of your power is enough to defeat them and also the task is every person should kill at least one monster .. selecting what kind depends on your efforts ..." Charles spoke as he saw the look on their faces 'hahaha....this is fun' Charles thought with a small chuckle...

Too late. “This doesn’t end tonight,” I went on. “It gets harder from here. Louder. More uncomfortable. And some people will try to convince you that fear is reason enough to give power back to the shadows.” Adrian shifted. I felt it, a subtle warning. Movement on the perimeter. I kept my eyes forward. “Fear isn’t the enemy,” I said. “What we do with it is.” The feed cut. Not gently. Hard. Every screen in the bay went black at once.

He had her. Suddenly, a wave of overwhelming anxiety washed over me. My chest tightened, and I felt an invisible weight pressing down on me as my breath quickened. My mate, Diara, was in the hands of my greatest adversary. Thoughts began to spiral, amplifying my fear and dread. The grip of apprehension rushed over me, pushing me to the brink of losing control. The ground beneath me felt as if it were shifting under the weight of my aura.

A quiet little archive of catastrophe and choice, crafted into something with a spine and, eventually, a cover. Back at her desk, Willa stared at the blinking cursor. Once upon a time, she’d written to outrun fear. To get ahead of it on the page, trap it in ink where it couldn’t reach her quite as cleanly. Then, the Game had taken that survival tactic and made it literal. Now, as she drafted, the fear was still there. It always would be. Fear of losing him. Fear of failure. Of being seen. Of not being seen. But it wasn’t the engine anymore.
