"I dare," Rhea shot back, the increased senses putting an edge on the emotional currents in the room. She sensed the fear of the other Elders, the genuine concern of several of the pack members, and most importantly, she sensed the cold, rational fear in Theon himself. She sensed his heart beating against his ribcage, not with righteous indignation, but with the raw, stomach-turning fear of a man who recognizes that his secrets are going to be exposed.
