So even though Freddy and Jason might just be a fragment of fiction, well it doesn't mean that you are already safe from their real-life counterparts. If you think about it, psychopaths are vaguely similar to morally capable people. And yes, there are ways we could differentiate them from each other but that doesn't mean MCPs are better. It just all points out on what we choose to become. With that I believe that the characters actions in this story are not limitedly portrayed as an antagonist or protagonist in that matter, as I'm particular that there is not one antagonist or protagonist in this story… if you are wondering which is which, I'm confident to leave that to your imagination.

He retires to his home to rest and write a fantastic novel. The antagonists are societal forces. They are crucial in shaping the characters and directing the resistance. They have strong personalities but poor brains. They are incapable of fulfilling their goals; instead, they rely on power and influence to climb the corporate ladder. They are familiar with the characters, recalling their demeanors and lives from their time as the main characters ‘house and work companions, and indirectly involved in the main characters’ agony.

Mercer was already in the room when I walked in. He stood to greet me, handshake brief and firm. “Angela. Thanks for coming.” “Thank you for inviting me.” We sat across from each other at a long table, the script in the middle. “I won’t waste your time,” he said immediately. “I want to know one thing. Why are you interested in this character?” I opened the marked-up script. “Because she doesn’t see herself as the antagonist,” I replied. “She believes she’s right. And that’s more dangerous than a character who knows she’s bad.”

By now, you’ve probably noticed that nothing comes easily. Every decision carries weight, every action has a cost, and the world these characters inhabit is unkind and merciless at times. And yet, even in that harshness, there are moments of courage, defiance, and even hope. That’s what I love writing the most—and I hope it’s what keeps you reading. I also hope you’ve noticed the small moments—the gestures, the glances, the quiet interactions that reveal who these people really are. ANOTHER THING I've struggled with a lot, is character development. A character can't instantly change after one event, the change has to be somewhat gradual and also believable. I also need to remember I can't give the same expressions or 'talk pattern' to the characters since the narration is from their point of view. So in a way, I have to change my writing style each chapter depending who's perspective is shown. So yeah, this entire interaction between Jace and Ava, alongside everyone else makes it quite the challenge, but one I am willing to take in hopes of becoming a better writer.

Be kind. Also, I don't specifically explain physical features of my characters because that isn't my job. My job here is to give you a story, whoever you want to envision as the characters is up to you and only you. You shouldn't depend on a full description of the characters before you play them out. While both have that cocky smirk and devilish grin at times, they are both entire opposites, like north and south poles, both in looks and character. Charlie is your usual player that every girl falls for, golden blonde hairs, ocean blue eyes with a character of a womanizer which I realized too late. He can be a great friend in need, a good listener, but that is it. That is all he is for me. Grayson on the other hand, isn't everyone's heartthrob. Sure he has that built every girl could die for considering he is a cop and he works out a lot, but Grayson’s features are more...my type.

Third Person POV The novel was, against all odds, more genuinely interesting than Kylie had expected. The prose was sharp, understandable grammar, and the plot was especially interesting. Initially, she didn't have much faith in it, since it seemed generic and had the typical plotline of the female lead being found by her biological parents. Perhaps due to the apocalypse genre, it turned out to be an especially a refreshing read. The characters felt real. Even though some of them were evil, they were making decisions normal humans would actually make, making readers torn.

Those insignificant supporting roles are my friends, they are real people with real feelings and a real heartbeat! Screw the original plot of this story! Who cares if I'm living the life of a heroine or a villainess! I didn't want any of this. I thought the characters in a story were all under the impression that what they feel, how they act, what their preferences and interests are, their type, are all given by the Author since he is their creator. But it never came to my mind that Caspian would come to my world as a living and breathing person. With the time I spent with him, he's even more human than anyone else I know. "R-Ria.." Caspian called me.

They let their antagonists step all over them until later on in the story, they gain confidence and step up to the situations life puts in their way. Charlotte, on the other hand, already has a very strong personality from the beginning. She speaks her mind and doesn’t let anyone trample all over her. She isn’t mean, but she won’t let anyone take advantage of her… except for the people she loves. I want her to be real, and real people have shades of grey. They make mistakes. They give in to their desires sometimes. One of Charlotte’s antagonists is herself, and I wanted to explore her personal growth through the conflicts she has thanks to the decisions she makes.
