If this last camera had been tampered with too, the search would hit a dead end.
Daniel pulled out his phone, making calls as they walked. “We need backup access to private feeds. Get me whatever footage is available.”
Raymond barely heard him. His focus was locked ahead. The last camera was mounted on the side of a tall building, its lens tilted toward the road.
If this one didn’t work, tracing the vehicle would be difficult.
“We need a signal,” the officer said, adjusting the controls. His fingers moved quickly, but nothing responded. The screen remained blank. “We have to wait a bit.”
