Then, the guards who had been working with the fire stepped forward.
They held their hands out, and a ball of fire formed in each palm. I held my breath, watching as the balls of fire grew, until they were almost as big as the guards themselves. Then, the guards threw the fireballs, aiming for Charles and his men.
As the fireballs struck the Charles warriors, I heard their screams of pain. I saw the horror on Charles's face as his men fell to the ground, engulfed in flames. I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction, knowing that I had bested him. I looked him in the eye, and I saw fear and hatred there.
