Fire Star: Book Novels & Stories

“How do you know my name?” “Because it’s right there.” Lyria looked. The L vanished. Then Y. Her face went white. “No.” Emmy reached. “Give it to me.” This time she did. The moment Emmy touched the book, the black fire leaped onto her hand. Pain tore through her. She screamed. “Emmy!” Ignisvath lunged. “Don’t touch me!” He stopped. The fire climbed Emmy’s arm. Names entered her. Not words. Lives.

My instincts screamed at me to turn back, but I ignored them. I reached out. The second my fingers brushed the book’s surface, a violent shudder tore through me. The world around me vanished. Fire. The vision struck hard and fast, like a blade to my mind. I saw flames swallowing the land, smoke choking the sky, the ground trembling beneath the weight of something monstrous. Shadows moved through the fire, writhing, shifting, forming grotesque shapes—creatures unlike anything I had ever seen. Wolves fought against them, their howls lost in the chaos. A battlefield soaked in blood.

I fought to control the car, spinning through flames and smoke, gripping the wheel with every ounce of strength. After what felt like forever, no rescue came. Only Thomas’ mocking voice, saying, “So, what now, babe? All the nearest rescue teams ran. They’re pulling the fire brigade from the city. “Even then, it’ll be at least half an hour. Might as well… keep racing? “Go for it. We’re all waiting to watch you cross the finish line.”

she says and I don't think I've ever felt more besotted with a woman before now. "Cheers princess. Come and sit in here. We're just going over some boring things and then we can do whatever. That's if we haven't got to go out later." "Okay," she says and settles into the sofa with a book. "Is that a bloody romance book?" I ask her which gets Dante to turn and look as well. She only smiles at me briefly before talking. "No actually. It's a murder mystery book" "Oh yeah? Anything good in it?"

But instead of taking me to the hospital, Tucker drove straight to his apartment. With each moment, my fever spiked, and my condition continued to spiral downward. At last, what little reason I had left crumbled away. I sank into Tucker in the driver's seat, my lips trailing kisses along his neck and just behind his ear. I could feel his Adam's apple bob, his breaths becoming more uneven as the seconds slipped by. Even so, he held his composure, his hands locked around the steering wheel.

My heart skips a beat when I spot a group of firefighters gathered outside, not lounging or working out, but having a casual barbecue. The warm scent of grilled meat wafts through the air, mingling with the smoky tang of the fire pit. Some are shirtless, their muscular torsos glistening faintly in the golden glow of the setting sun. Most are still wearing their fire-resistant pants, suspenders hanging loose around their hips. A few sit on folding chairs, a drink in hand, while others stand by the grill, flipping burgers and turning hot dogs with ease. “Caroline, you’re staring,” Sam teases, nudging me hard in the ribs.

He set the untouched drink aside and reached for his coat. Fire had rules. Fire did not look back. Fire did not involve itself in accidents or strangers. But tonight, Fire had collided with something cold. And for reasons he couldn’t yet explain, Alexander Steele knew this was not just an incident. It was the beginning of something dangerous.

Stripes. Burning across my body like fire. The air itself seemed to change. The wolves hesitated. Just for a second. That was their mistake. I moved. Faster than before. Stronger. Unstoppable. I tore through them. No hesitation now. No strategy. Just dominance. One after another. They fell. Until only one remained. Celdor stepped forward. Finally. I tilted my head slightly, blood dripping from my jaw. “You should have stayed hidden.” He didn’t respond.

Chapter 81 DISASTER FIRA’S POV I was excited to bring the hot chocolate to the room of King Fire. I was about to knock when I heard someone talking inside. My smile faded as I realized what the conversation was all about. It was Zephyrus and Pyro, they seemed arguing.

Luka replied with a frown as he lit the piece of paper he was holding in his hand with his fire affinity. I wanted to let him know that Katrina had a dark side, but before I could reassure him, the entire library became engulfed with flames startling me. Smoke quickly filled the room as the books burned rapidly, feeding the ever-growing fire. “Luka,” I yelled, grabbing him by the arm, “we have to get out of here.” Luka didn’t respond, nor did he look at me as I pulled him towards me. I tried tugging harder, but he seemed mesmerized by the flame.
