I clap my hands twice to bring the group’s attention back to me. This isn’t a time to be worried about that, I should be focused on my word. “So, Uhm, Ethan,” I call out, “You’re singing the lead melody, right?” Ethan nods, and I continue, “That was great. Then, Liam comes in with the third melody, the lower notes. Uh, can you sing that again for me?”
“Anything for you,” Liam replies flirtatiously, and any other time it would have made me blush, but right now, I’m way too immersed in my work to be bothered by it.
