I sighed, opened the ward door and got back in. I noticed her mood change a bit. She looks more dull than ever. I hope she gets over it in time. She has lot of deals with companies. Lots of endorsement deals. She can't afford to miss this opportunity that will make her really wealthy. Charlie's P O V I got outside the hospital totally forgetting to put on my face cap. I forget because I couldn't get my mind off her, it pains so much that she doesn't wanna see me but I don't blame her but blame my stupid self.

“Also, what’s wrong with Auntie Cassie’s library? I thought you love it there.” “Etheal wants to build a castle with many books and Cassie only has a small library.” Garox snorted and teased her sister. “But Mom, Dad, can we buy a sherbet on our way to town?” I looked at Nix and served him his bacon. “Of course.” Garox and Etheal cheered, enthused to eat a sherbet. Then all of a sudden, I smelled something odd that wafted past my nose. Nix must’ve smelled it too, that’s why he seems to be unsettled beside me.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.

Chad paused, pouring himself another glass and quickly finishing it. "Lately, Charlie has undergone a complete transformation. She is no longer the naïve and feeble Charlie who allows others to mistreat her. In fact, she has become quite skilled in the art of manipulation. Can you believe it?" Chad declared, erupting in laughter as he recollected the absurd antics that Charlie (Marlie) had engaged in since her return.

And at the center of it all, undefeated, untouchable, was Kane Shawn. Standing at 6'5", with a body carved from years of brutal discipline, he was a titan among men. His blonde curls were damp with sweat, sticking to his forehead as he rolled his shoulders, his enormous arms flexing with ease. His skin glistened under the dim lights, his six-pack rippling with every movement. But it was his face that truly set him apart a masterpiece of sharp lines and perfect imperfections. His light blue eyes had the power to pierce through a man's soul, making even the most confident opponents hesitate. His lips, full and sinful, often twisted into a smirk that made women weak and men envious.

Tom subconsciously cursed as he said angrily, “So, it’s you! What the hell is your origin?! You dare to go against me? Do you believe that the first thing I’m going to do as soon as I leave this place is to end your life?!” Charlie laughed and said, “You’re asking me about my origin? My name is Charlie Wade. I do not know if you’ve ever heard of me?” ‘Charlie Wade?!’ When Tom heard these two words, the first reaction in his head was, ‘F*ck! This guy’s last name is Wade! Could he be a member of the Wade family?!’

I ran in as well, only to get stopped by Hunter as he got in front of me and dad. My eyes travelled around the room and I locked eyes with the man who would soon become the man of my dreams and the man in my nightmares. Austin Dechart.
