Mated in the Shadow of My Sister

Mated in the Shadow of My Sister

“I… I don’t know if I should say….” “Oh, please do,” Charlotte said. “Now I’m really curious.” “I would ask whether Brady’s whore could ever love my pup as much as I do.” “Ok.... other than the use of the word 'whore' that isn't too bad...” I responded. “You only think that because I ended up being Brady’s whore, not you,” Charlotte commented. Evelyn looked up. “Yes… but don’t you get it? It is a sign.” We both looked at Evelyn like she was crazy. "Huh?"

The CEO's Addiction To Love

The CEO's Addiction To Love

Her brain dissolved into a mush, and she began to talk incoherently, “No… No… There’s nothing that I want… Ahem… Ahem…” Zachary parted his thin lips. Just when he was about to say something, Lucas chimed in, “Second Master, there’s no way a pretty, ladylike, and kind woman like Mrs. Connor would shed away her dignity and ask for money openly no matter how much she wants it. Am I right, milady?” Charlotte’s brain was a muddled mess. “What are you talking about…” Lucas squinted his eyes at Zachary. “Hehe, Second Master, did you see that? Mrs. Connor is too shy to ask!”

The Alpha's Guardian

The Alpha's Guardian

Harry asks, grumpy. “I want her to have them.” I recall how she went on and on about starting her own book collection. She was incredibly drunk, so I doubt she remembers it. But I do. I managed to get the names of some of the authors she likes, and the rest of the information I found in her apartment, on the small bookshelves. Women usually like diamonds and jewelry, but I think Charlotte has a preference for simpler things and hobbies.

Revenge of the Betrayed: The Domineering Duke Falls for Me

Revenge of the Betrayed: The Domineering Duke Falls for Me

Count Croyso caught the key point, "What poem?" Charlotte produced a notebook, flipping it open to reveal freshly inked writing, "This poem, written by me yesterday, is undeniable proof!" He had meticulously prepared, ready to expose Miranda. Count Croyso’s eyes narrowed as he glanced at the poem, then at Charlotte and Miranda. His earlier concern turned to cold, "You wrote this? Why a poem about flowers?" Charlotte quickly fabricated, "I’ve always loved flowers, and a painting of plum blossoms inspired me." Then, indignantly, "Count, are you doubting me? Look at Miss Miranda—could she have written this?"

Is Life A Single Player Experience?

Is Life A Single Player Experience?

But seriously, what a dramatic change of genres! Charlotte, on the other hand, leaves it at that, and, without showing any interest in me whatsoever, opens her paperback again. I hear the soft slide of the turning page. Once I take a quick glimpse at what she's been reading, it appears to be: Crime And Punishment. In one word: Intense..

Persuasion

Persuasion

Sir Walter Elliot, of Kellynch Hall, in Somersetshire, was a man who, for his own amusement, never took up any book but the Baronetage; there he found occupation for an idle hour, and consolation in a distressed one; there his faculties were roused into admiration and respect, by contemplating the limited remnant of the earliest patents; there any unwelcome sensations, arising from domestic affairs changed naturally into pity and contempt as he turned over the almost endless creations of the last century; and there, if every other leaf were powerless, he could read his own history with an interest which never failed. This was the page at which the favourite volume always opened:

chapters Ten written by: rosapearl MILLER POV Finally school is over i did not concentrate in class my eyes were focusing on Charlotte. She was really focused, even thou I knew she is the brilliant type, she shone through out the lesson. From watching her I have note a lot of things about her, her habit of touching her hair when she is writing or focusing on something to the cute little mole on the back of her neck. "I wouldn't mind touching it" I whispered to myself

The Lady And The Billionaire Scoundrel

The Lady And The Billionaire Scoundrel

I wanted to share and answer a few of the questions I’ve been asked by readers who have personally shared their feedback with me about The Lady and the Scoundrel. Is Charlotte Astor a flawed protagonist? Why did you choose this for her? The short answer is yes: Charlotte makes mistakes. A flawed protagonist refers to a lead that doesn’t have all the good qualities expected from a hero, which also doesn’t mean that they’re not good people. I chose to make Charlotte flawed because I wanted to take a different route to create her.

Ack, this is indeed a hidden gem. The narration is so good and the events that happened were so fast that I did not hesitate to scroll to the next chapter. Three men around Charlotte having different stories are more than interesting. Plus, it's of great mystery of whom she will end up with. Awesome

This is one of the few novels I have read that does not have the main character being slapped in the face for no reason, and everyone ending up going to the hospital for frivolous reasons. I'm enjoying this so far and really like Charlotte and Logan's chances.
