“Thanks for the image,” I muttered.
Chase stretched out his legs, boots scraping the floor. He looked bored, but I knew better. He only looked bored when his mind was racing. “We knew a witch once,” he said finally.
All eyes turned to him.
Curt straightened, nodding. “Atterbury. You remember? The one with the chickens in her yard. What was her name?”
Chase frowned, rubbing the back of his neck. “Hannah. Or Helena. Something with an H. She wasn’t exactly friendly.”
