Prologue

The quiet and peaceful night is suddenly invaded by agonizing howls.

The full moon shines so well, illuminating the night, that one could see clearly.

Running feet could be heard, and the breaking of dry leaves and little sticks tells that someone or something was quickly and speedy approaching the forest.

Soon the running feet began to die down and the agonizing howls began fading.

The brownish-black wolf, collapsed under one of the broad trees, as its heavy weight hits the trees, some leaves fell from the tree, and the wrapped cloth in its mouth fell off beside it.

Its brown eyes were so weary and exhausted, that its eyes lids began closing, energy and strength slowly and at a steady rate ebbing away from its body.

Slowly, the wolf began to transform into a beautiful but exhausted lady who had tears running down her cheeks, her brown eyes were red and puffy.

She lay there, raised her head, and opened her mouth, agonizing cries escapes from her lips, she cried from the depth of pain that constantly pierce her heart.

She turned her head and looked beside her, she took the cloth she had taken along with her were running away, a silver dagger fell from the cloth, she took a long look at the dagger, tears fell from her eyes.

The wave of cold breeze hit her exposed body, she shivered immediately, she hurriedly wrapped the cloth tight around her body.

Her eyes settled on the silver dagger, she took it and raised it, aiming to stab it right into her heart.

"What the heck do you think you are doing?" A calm voice spoke, the silver dagger fell from her hands, she looked up to see a figure clothed in a long black robe, some distance away from her, she sat up.

The figure came closer and stood beside her, pushing back her hood covering her head to reveal her red hair which stood out as thick as blood.

The distraught woman could see the black long shining nails of this younger lady, the younger lady smiled down at her.

"Who are you?" She asked, looking up at the red-haired lady.

"I can help you," The red-haired said as she took out a stick from inside her long robe alongside a fire lighter, she lighted up the stick, and it immediately began to burn, she kept the fire lighter back in her robe.

The distressed woman's brows knotted in confusion.

The red-haired smiled, she bent down with her burning stick in one hand, she held the distressed woman's wrist, she closed her eyes, a smile crept up her face, the older woman kept watching in confusion, if this has been a different situation, the older woman would have run away but she just can't, she is too weak.

"If you ran away now, you will be miserable forever and your enemies will enjoy their lives to the fullest"

"How do you know what I was thinking?" The older woman asked shocked.

"I feel so many pains, hurts, agony, and sorrow in your heart," The red hair said with a big smile on her face, her eyes still closed "I can help you get revenge," She said as she released the older woman's wrist.

"You know nothing about me and…" She paused as a wave of cold breeze hit her, she shivered "You want to help me get revenge?" She asked.

"Oh really!" The red-haired exclaimed, she dug the burning stick into the ground, making it stand straight "He is the only one you have, you loved him yet he was killed right in front of your eyes, your–"

"Stop!!" She yelled as she shut her eyes, trying to get rid of the scene from her mind, but each time she tried, she can't. Tears rolled down her eyes, she felt so much sorrow that even the tears couldn't ease nor measure it.

The red-haired smirked "Then let me help you, I can" She said.

The older woman implored her smelling abilities but no matter how she does it, she couldn't get the scent of the young lady that is squatted before her.

The older woman looked into the eyes of the young lady trying to get a clue or hint of who she is but she couldn't.

"I don't know why you wet dogs don't believe things easily, you have a better choice standing in front of you but you choose not to use it," She said staring at the older lady with a frown.

"You know I am a wolf?" The older woman asked understanding the insult of ' Wet dogs '. She knew instantly that the red-haired squatted before she wasn't a wolf because if she was she wouldn't have used that insult.

The red-haired huffed "Isn't it obvious" She answered, looking at the silver dagger which was on the ground on the other side.

There was silence for a while.

"Besides, I think you don't know the forest you are in, your cries were the ones that woke me from my peaceful sleep, you do know that you aren't in your dog boundaries," She said, twitching the end of some strands of her red hair.

"Could you stop calling me a dog!" The older woman said, somewhat angry.

The eerie laugh of this strange red-haired lady echoed in the forest, she suddenly stopped laughing.

"You dog! Disturbed my sleep!!" She yelled, the older lady had to close her eyes immediately, she opened her eyes and looked into the eyes of the young lady, she frown, she had seen the strange lady's eyes flash red or were she seeing things?

The older woman looked around, she knew she wasn't within the werewolf's boundaries, she returned her gaze to the strange lady for a while there was silence.

"I don't know who you are but am sensing you are powerful, since you know about me, I want revenge, I was going to seek revenge even to the end of this world, those that took away the one precious person I have, I will also make them amount to nothing, I want to make them miserable," She said, tears formed in her eyes, she let them rolled down her cheeks freely.

The red-haired smiled, showing her white teeth.

"What is it you want?" The red-haired asked with a serious tone.

"I want –"

"Wait," The red-haired said, she held both wrists of the older woman "You don't need to say it, your heart tells it all, the heart is more sincere than the mouth," She said, she closed her eyes.

A few seconds passed the red-haired snapped her eyes open.

"You are asking for the impossible wolf," She said shaking her hair, her red hair going with the pace, the older woman frowned.

"But you said you will help me, that means you aren't powerful as I claimed," She said causing the younger lady to chuckle.

"Do you know the price of what you ask for?" The red-haired asked, the older woman shook her head "Death, you want me to interfere with the plans of your goddess, I can but the price is death" She said.

For some minutes the older woman was silent.

"You could take out a different measure of revenge but this you have asked for is great and powerful you-"

"Can you do it?" She asked staring at the red-haired who nodded.

"Death is involved"

"Let's proceed, I'm ready," The older woman said with a determined look.

The red-haired looked at the older woman who nodded, telling her to proceed, they both stood to their feet...

"Sure" The young strange lady responded with an evil smile "Nothing scent better than the fragrance of revenge," She said laughing, her laughter turned maniac and evilly, thunder stroke, lighting struck "It is done, sealed," she said with thousand voices.

Light shone so brightly from the young red-haired lady, that the older woman had to close her eyes, even with her eyes closed she could feel the lights.

A few seconds passed, and the older woman opened her eyes, she staggered back as she could finally see who stood before her, and she gasped.

Fear consumed her, the person before wasn't the one she had been talking to minutes ago, she was scarier looking and –

"Oh my goodness!!! You are–" Her words got stuck in her mouth as her inside clutch tightly, she groaned in pain, she held her stomach "Ahhhhh!!!" She screamed as she fell to her knees, the pains traveled all over her body, her hands rubbing and scratching trying to ease the pain, her head bowed.

"Your wish and desires have been granted" The voice sounded, the lights that shone vanished immediately, and thunder struck violently.

She raised her head, everywhere was quiet, only the burning stick was present, she smiled Indeed her wish has been granted, she has nothing to worry about.

She became weak with each passing minute, she lay on the ground with her face staring into the dark now moonless night, she smiled as her life slowly left her.

But one thing made her rest assured and that was her wish, desires have sure been granted.

She breathed her last with a smile on her face.
