A common way in our room, when we need a signature from our guardian. I finished the quiz easily. And immediately went to the cafeteria where I saw Candy with her boyfriend, Kel. The two of them have been together for a long time. Kel is famous as a good basketball player and top achiever in his class. Candy is the same too. Sometimes our grades match up so we are placed in the same top. We were happy there because even in grades we were best friends.

Chase felt himself relaxing in this serene atmosphere. As he rounded a bend, a familiar black SUV caught his attention. Chase’s instincts kicked in. He recognized the vehicle, and his eyes narrowed as he spotted Fabion, a notorious sniper, standing outside the SUV. A young woman was being dragged out of the SUV by Fabion and another man. They were taking her deeper into the woods. Chase knew he had to act fast. He quickly assessed the situation and came up with a plan. He slowly drove past the SUV, pretending not to notice them.

Luke, lying lazily under one of the chairs, complained with a meow from her screeching voice and licked himself clean. "Are we going training or not?" I asked, as I swallowed the grape's sweet juices and skin. Chase was wearing his usual pair of sweatpants and a V-neck shirt, his hair showed he came from a quick shower. He smiled at me, reaching for the bowl of grapes. I smacked his hand but Chase was fast. He grabs my wrist before I could touch his skin. His smirking face was instantly replaced by concern.

Kou noticed that I was desperately hiding them so Kou grabbed some cap being sold there and said, "Here. Wear this." Kou then paid the vendor as I searched for Henry through this large crowd abd before I knew it, the crowd seperated Kou and I. He can't possibly see me in this crowd and considering my height. I'm definitely not someone who stand out. I tried shouting for his name but I still couldn't find him so I just walked straight ahead. I searched for Henry... then I found him... only to see he's looking for someone else... Henry went near Yui, he's got his eyes locked on Yui this entire time...

His hand was shaking and his heart stopped beating when he could not find a pulse. “Drive faster, now!” Kelvin thundered as he slammed his hand on the back of the driver's seat. Sounds of gunshot filled the air as the people from the two cars who were still pursuing them began to fire at them but the car was bulletproof, Kelvin was not scared of a bullet piercing through and killing any of them.

I froze, my breath catching. The back door creaked. A car engine roared to life outside. “No…” My voice broke. I bolted toward the sound, yanking the door open. Headlights flashed across the driveway. Tires screeched against the pavement. The car sped off before I could even reach it. And just like that—Kent was gone.

Tears spring to the corners of my eyes. My head whips back and forth frantically, searching hopelessly for an exit. I breathe out a sigh of relief when I finally spot a door to my left. Still dazed, still deaf, still panicking, I manage to stumble towards the door and slam it shut behind me, fleeing into the cool air of the night. Evander’s POV As I’m caught up socializing with the rest of the partygoers, I catch my gaze drifting occasionally towards Tessa.
