Hopeless Warriors

Hopeless Warriors

I guess he'd noticed more than Adrian because he also asked my permission to poke and prod at my back. Eventually, he got out the gauze and handed me a cool, damp cloth. "Your lip doesn't need any stitches, you can just hold this on it to try and reduce the swelling." And keep me from talking, I thought to myself. I did as he suggested and he carefully began wrapping up my wrist. "Your ribs are bruised, but not broken. They'll be tender for a couple days but should heal fine." As he continued rolling the cloth around my hand I could see he was trying his best to minimize his contact with my skin and only touch the areas he'd already wrapped; whether it was for my benefit or his was unclear.

In love with my Ex’s Rival:The Ice Hockey Rival

In love with my Ex’s Rival:The Ice Hockey Rival

“No hockey for at least two weeks. No physical contact. No sparring. No anything that might further injure your chest.” “That’s not going to work.” “Then you’re going to be in a lot of pain.” He started wrapping my ribs with precise movements. “Which is your choice, but I’d recommend making the smart one for once.” I wanted to tell him that the smart choice had died the moment Lucas checked me into the boards. But I kept quiet. The wrapping was tight, restricting my breathing slightly. It would help with the pain, but it would also slow me down. Make me weaker. Exactly what Lucas had been trying to accomplish.

Craving Their Touch

Craving Their Touch

The doctor used the word recoverable, and Sophia broke down crying for the third time that morning. I left them alone after that. Some moments were too fragile for witnesses. Marcus was two floors down in a different wing, sitting on an examination table while a doctor wrapped his ribs. The bandages circled his torso in tight white layers. His hand had been stitched. Twelve sutures across knuckles that were already scarred from the fight with David. The doctor said he would heal, but the ribs would take weeks, and he should not lift anything heavier than a coffee cup until then.

Invisible Mate( Mate Series Book 1)

Invisible Mate( Mate Series Book 1)

" Alexa asked, raising her brow. " No," Chris said in a hurry. " My wrist is broken." Alexa slowly held Chris's hand and checked his wrist. She moved it a bit, and Chris cried out in pain. " I-I am sorry," Alexa said. " It's an internal injury, so it will heal only if you drink the potion." Alexa took the bottle and placed it near Chris's mouth, who gulped it immediately. " You guys should sleep for a while. I will keep watch," Alexa said.

HIS FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION

HIS FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION

The ache in my body was a slow, stubborn burn that flared with every breath. I hissed as I peeled the blankets away and forced myself to sit up. My ribs protested immediately, sending jagged pulses through my side. I touched the bandage just under my arm and winced. Nothing was broken, they’d said, but my body hadn’t gotten the memo.

Stalked By My Boyfriends Best Friend

Stalked By My Boyfriends Best Friend

“Let’s start with your ribs. Can you sit up for me?” Callum steps closer, offering me his hand to help me sit up. His movements are slow and deliberate, giving me time to adjust. I wince as I straighten, the pain sharp and unforgiving. Dr. Bennett crouches beside the chair, her hands gentle but firm as she examines me. “Your ribs are badly bruised,” she says after a moment, her tone professional but sympathetic. “And two are definitely broken. I’ll wrap them to help with the pain and to make sure they heal properly.”

Ruining My Enemy's Daughter

Ruining My Enemy's Daughter

he asks, jerking his head towards me. “Her blood pressure is low,” she says as Mikolaj leans back just enough for her to unbuckle the chest plate. I sit up, watching as they carefully lift the armor off him. As he removes the thin fabric, I see the deep bruising that spreads across his side. His whole right side is red and swollen. “Oh my God,” I gasp, my hand flying to my mouth. “It will turn an angry blue and purple in few hours,” she comments, gently prodding his spine and Mikolaj winches hard. “Yup, broken ribs, for sure.”

The story is amazing as it focuses more on a minor character from the author's first novel, The Forbidden Hot Neighbor. As usual, I love the flow of the story and how it introduces new characters without overwhelming readers. I enjoy Miko's character and I am excited for their relationship to grow!

I'm enjoying the book. For one, I love realistic scenarios, & stories I can relate to. This is right up there in those departments. The writing style is refreshing & it helps with the flow of the plot & the overall enjoyment. Love the little punchlines & the characters have me smiling like an idiot.
