The goddess must hate me for some reason. Wiping the thought from my mind, my eyes land on the only fictional book in the stack. I am actually a “facts over fiction” kind of girl usually. But, this time, I find myself choosing otherwise. Maybe it’s time for a change. Running my fingers across the cover and staring at the fiery red dragon, I am suddenly reminded of Millie. Goddess, Millie!

The drinks are catching up with me, but I don’t want to ruin the moment by wandering off to find a public bathroom. Tipsy and daring, I ask Chris for help. “Hey, Chris,” I say, my voice a little unsteady. “Do you think you could show me where the restroom is?” His eyes widen slightly in surprise but quickly soften into a charming smile. “Sure thing, beautiful. Follow me.” He takes my hand, his touch sending a tingle up my arm, and leads me into the fire station. With a firm grip on my hand he guides me through the fire station. My heart races as I follow him.

A single spark in the server room—silent, almost reverent—before the flames unfurled across steel and glass, licking their way through the laboratory like a reckoning. The chemicals hissed as they caught, feeding the blaze with everything that had been hidden. Smoke rose in slow spirals, curling through the air like it had come to collect what the past was too cowardly to keep. Isla didn’t move.

There was a fire outbreak In my area this week about five of my neighbors were burnt to death. It has been very traumatic. I am finding it hard to write. And since the fire was caused by the electricity, we don’t have light until further notice. I will re-edit the book when everything is better.

I could see the lust and darkness in his eyes and I wanted no part of either. He pushed me down to the floor and pinned me there, his hands holding me in place. I struggled against him but he was bigger and stronger. His fat hands grappled my breasts, freeing one of them from my bra. He was about to yank off my panties when Chad came into the room. “Alpha, the north side of the mansion is on fire!” He quickly stopped his harassment and scrambled up. “What?” “The men are already doing what they can but you need to go and see what can be salvaged from the fire. I hear you have really important documents there”, Chad said.

Marco sat at his oak desk in the sprawling library, his fingers lightly tapping the polished surface. The room was dimly lit, with a single lamp casting a golden hue over the dark wood and leather-bound books lining the shelves. A man stood before him, stiff and slightly nervous—Felix, the ever-efficient right eye of Marco’s operations. Marco’s sharp gaze lifted to Felix, signaling him to speak. "Just as you ordered, I got some information about the fire incident," Felix began, his voice calm but cautious. "It occurred due to a gas leak in the kitchen."

Gold would do to this, Gold wouldn't do that, Gold doesn't like this, Gold likes that. They kill a part of him even before he has the chance to try it. "But just like a phoenix, I am reborn again..." He rises from the ashes. The exact same thing people burn is where he'll come back. This time, stronger and better. This time, he rejects to care about what they think will suit him. This is his life. Another symbolism of fire is judgment. "I love my fans, I really do." He didn't prepare a speech. He's just speaking things that enter his mind. It doesn't have an order.

"You can't go in there. Let the firemen do their job, Laila. Even after the fire's out, the smoke has to settle before-" "I can't wait, Caleb. I need to know. I need to find his body if he really is dead." I didn't wait for his reply before dashing into the building. The ground floor was already clear and I ran up the stairs stumbling to a halt when I saw the fire advancing towards me. 'Turn back, Allyson.' my wolf screamed. I didn't. 'Turn back now!!! We will die.' My magic sang as if it was looking at a meal. I put my left hand forward, watching the fire engulf my entire arm and I was screaming already, until I wasn't. The scream had been because it wasn't hurting.

Our best bet would be if the sprinklers in response to the fire alarm would do their job properly . I was so concerned about the books catching fire that I didn't even process the fact that there was a fucking flame in her palm ! It wasn't burning her , it was just whirling around , bright red and orange colours playing with each other in fury . I should interrupt . I grab a book from the cart and stand a good 2 feet away from the men . I close one eye and position the book in front of me with my hand to make an aim . Perfect . I hurl the book as fast as I can and hear a groan in response .

I was late morning when Tristan entered the room pulling my head of the book, I looked at him in slight amazement. “We have the conference call in twenty minutes.” He greeted stepping into the room as I looked up. “What?” He asked and I held up the book. “Tristan, this book.” I stated not really knowing how to explain it. “It’s a novel, just a story that I found in the library, but it’s based on a family of werewolves, the two daughters, twins, were born with a special gift, they could produce fire and ice.” I uttered and watched as his brows rose. “They later became joint alphas of the their pack. Do you think this could be the story of the alpha twins that we were looking for?”
