Genevieve stifled a laugh and slid the next plate containing a rich, dark brown slice forward. "This is a dark chocolate sponge cake with whiskey-infused ganache with a salted caramel swirl." Calix’s eyes lit up before he could say a word, but the expression on his face was a complete endorsement. He took one bite and leaned back with a groan that could be termed inappropriate. "Now that... that’s a cake."

“Come on lets go in” I held Mindy’s hand as we walked in, her hand tightened around mine and she walked a bit slower. But once you noticed it, it was there the whole time, making the wine softer, more complete. I frowned, unable to name it. Julian tilted his head slightly. I giggle and step away from him, grabbing more milk chocolate and cookies and cream bars, my mind racing on what we could do with the sweet substance. With a childish grin on my face, we head over to my favourite aisle, the ice-cream aisle. I select a tub of Chapman’s French Vanilla and Mint Chocolate Chip laughing when Tate places a Neapolitan ice cream into the cart, commenting that mixing the three flavours together is ‘The bomb dot com babe.’
