Choosing My Happiness Novel Novels & Stories

So I opened a dark novel and started to get involved in the yellowed pages of the book. The comfort that the words brought me was worth more than any hug. That book saved me from an early morning when I would spend crying for feeling alone and questioning my life choices. And I dived into the pages, sucking every word of that erotic poetry that I was so amazed to be absorbing. The words of that book filled my heart, and made me see that I didn't need anything other than what I already had to feel happy. Even if it was a happiness that I had to seek, and not that it was instantaneous, it was still a form of happiness, and that was enough for me.

“If you really care about me, then you’ll set me free. Now is the perfect time for you to prove to me that my happiness also matters to you.” I want her to stop talking, but I’m too devastated to even say a word. The only thing that’s getting out of my partly open mouth are my sobs. “My happiness is Davide and our child. It’s them who I’m choosing.” She pauses, then caps my jaw to lift my sliding gaze back to meet hers.

Perhaps that was simply her cross to bear from a lifetime of coping with one crushing blow after another. ​ That didn’t mean that Ava should be doomed to questioning every decent thing that happened to her until she eventually died bitter and alone. Brings my sanity back to its place. The fleeting happiness I felt yesterday is now nowhere to be found. Love? Even my subconscious knows that the love I have for him is so immense that this body refuses to reject his presence. This heart refuses to reject his affection. But once again, I realize. That the happiness I feel is only fleeting. The long-lasting happiness I found in the end is now traded for choices I cannot make either of them. All the choices aimed at me in the end will only hurt me. Then what should I do?

I mean,he didn't choose to hear everyone's thoughts but we are all different humans with our own secrets,some secrets we don't want to share. Joy didn't think coming to my home would harm me,she just wanted someone to comfort her. No matter how hard we try to hide ourselves from others,some place,a little part inside of us still wants to be comforted. As humans,we all have our preferences or rather choices. We shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but some of us prefers sci-fi novels and others prefer romance but for me, I prefer a slice of life and a little fantasy that's out of this world because sometimes, just sometimes the mind wanders.
