“Lucky bastard. I clawed to 42 over two semesters. You show up half-dead, mouth off to queens, drop a vamp in the cafeteria, sit front row with Seraphina, and boom—top fifteen. What’s your secret? Sell your soul? Or just your dignity?”
Theo, already at his desk with headphones half-on, glanced over.
“It’s not luck,” he said quietly. “It’s pattern recognition. The algorithm likes outliers. You’re an outlier. End of story.”
