Who did I kille?” Chris growled at Liam. His eyes flickered and his other hand threw a hard punch at Liam’s left jaw, making his spat blood from his mouth.

Christopher stood by the door and shouted, “I’m going to punish you two if you don’t come out this instant!” Although he was still conscious, Leonel could not speak and was forced just to stand there. Anxiety filled his eyes, and they darted nervously about. Up until this point, he had no idea what had numbed him. Worse yet, he had no idea who had attacked him. “Jo? Leo?” Christopher kicked the door, his hand gripping the gun tightly. His finger was already on the trigger, and he was ready to shoot anytime. Christopher kicked open the door because it had not been properly shut.

That may also be why Chris seemed surprised. Leonel paid close attention to the expression on Chris's face, although he couldn't see what appeared on Chris's phone screen. Initially, Chris's face was as neutral as usual. He was stiff and rarely smiling, except when he made awkward and forced jokes. But it was comforting enough for Leonel because he needed extra comfort. Especially now, when many things were weighing on Leonel. Sometimes, Leonel wished he could escape from all the pressures, but when he thought about it, everything was caused by himself.
