The man slowly stops when he’s reaches the door and notices us walking from the other direction. “Colton Daniels. We are meeting again.” The man says, voice deep and hoarse. He stretches his hand out to shake Colton. I couldn’t help but notice the slight change in Colton. He shakes the man hands. “We meet again, Chris Parker.” Colton replied. The man, Chris looks behind Colton and sees me, a small smile sprawled on his lips. “And who might this be? Did you change your assistant?” The man says, titling his head sideways to look at me properly.

Mason detailed. His response clearly showed he knew Chris's personal life well. “Noted.” The doctor acknowledged before turning to face Chris, who just stared at them in silence. “Your name is Chris. You're one of America's top actors. If you could tell us more about Nimalaya, perhaps we can help.” The doctor probed.

Sitting at a table with Kyle, Steve, Suzie, and Grayson I cannot stop myself from staring at Alpha Zac as he addresses the pack. I thought Grayson was delicious-looking, but fuck he was just a snack compared to Alpha Zac. He is built like a sex god. He was at least a foot taller than me, with chocolate brown hair that was perfectly tousled. Longer on the top, short on the sides. Piercing blue eyes, the same color as the rivers around us. A slight bit of scruff was neatly outlined on his sharp jawline. I could see every budging muscle under his dress shirt. Corded forearms were showing as his sleeves were rolled back.

As soon as Chris turned his attention towards Xavier he let out a small chuckle. "What's with the look." Xavier raised his eyebrow. "She said she loves you." Chris rolled his eyes. "So?" He questioned nonchalantly. "So I am like what the fuck. How this happened. Like how can she ends up loving you after all the shits you have done to her." Xavier said in pure shock making Chris let out a small laugh. "Manipulation," Chris stated with a small smirk. Even Xavier couldn't deny how evil this bastard looked.

Torches lined the black stone walls, casting flickering light across the gathered warriors, their armor scarred from countless battles. “What the hell are you thinking?” Chris asked, his cool tone edged with clear contempt for Dominic’s intelligence. Dominic fired back, “Then you tell me what the hell this is.” Who would believe it? Chris ran Xander Corporation. He was the head of the Xander family. But in the middle of the night, this cold, arrogant man had put in colored contacts, slapped on fake scars, and even worn a muscle suit. Then he had risked ruining his reputation just to sneak out of detention.

Albert asked. "You look like a wannabe middleman in the black market pushing a move for the first time." Chris hinted. "Haha, a wannabe what? You can't be serious. I mean, we've been here for over an hour. And the Parker residence is just minutes away from here so why is he still not here?" Albert queried. "Well, just relax. He will be here." Chris said. "Me? A wannabe middleman in the black market?" Albert mumbled to himself but Chris heard him.

“Because since Sierra died, he has never appeared in public with anyone else. And he canceled a meeting for you…I promise he has never done that for anyone. Even Sierra,” Sierra? The name of the woman is tattooed above his heart. My stomach flipped unnecessarily. “Who is Sierra?” Chris’s brown eyes lit up in surprise. “He never told you about her?…” “Yeah” “Since he didn’t, it isn’t my call to make—” The smile didn’t leave his eyes, and a dry laugh slipped out of my lips as I forced a forkful of salad into my mouth. Embarrassing. “I feel there’s still more to who you are…” Chris said, through the rising feeling inside of me. “What pack are you from?”

Xavier, who came up with Chris, heard the noises too. Both stood outside the door and looked at each other in dismay. Xavier looked at Chris. “Chris, what’s wrong with dad? Why is he so angry?” Chris shook his head and remained silent with a tense face. Then, when he saw Xavier come alone, he asked, “Where’s your woman?” Xavier chuckled. “She isn’t feeling well, so she went to the restroom.” Chris nodded. Then, both of them pushed the door open and went in. Creak…

Heat crept up my neck at the thought of Shawn finally seeing me. I’ve been in the shadow of everyone’s life for as long as I can remember, but now.... I don’t feel so hidden anymore. Chris was throwing his shirt off before stripping down to nothing but his boxers and cannonballing into the infinity pool. When he emerged, he shook out his hair, splashing me with water, “This is fucking phenomenal. Do you see this thing?” he floated onto his back, paddling to the glass edge of the pool, “I think I need one of these. I do need one of these.”
