He’s not going to give Liam time to recover. Within seconds, Chris shifted into his half-werewolf form. His sharp fangs bared and he grew twice his human size. His claws extended and he flew high in the direction where Liam was slumped. Chris hauled his body and pinned him on the wall hard. “What the fuck are you talking about? Who did I kille?” Chris growled at Liam. His eyes flickered and his other hand threw a hard punch at Liam’s left jaw, making his spat blood from his mouth.

He knew he couldn’t, just seeing it made him feel a little ill. Jaxson’s skin heated under Chris’ hand. “Maybe speak to him,” Doctor James suggested. Chris opened his mouth. Closed it. Nodded before just saying. “You can do it. I need you here, we can’t give those the satisfaction of you not healing. Just.. erm… let your wolf take over.” Chris paused, trying to think of more words when Jaxson rose on the bed, his back arching up. It looked as if someone had placed a rope around his belly and was tugging. Bones snapped, at first Chris couldn’t tell which bones but then he realised his neck was elongating.

The man in blue did not stop the werewolves that came forward to fight with some of the vampires, he just watched them from the side like he did not care about the lives of his subordinates.
