I have a chance with her.
Her gaze drops to my chest, her fingers mapping over my collarbone. "Caden, you have to be my boyfriend for it to be called 'dating.'"
"Then let me be your boyfriend. Please." I ask it quietly, and she smiles without meeting my eyes.
"Caden?" she begins, but I cut in, tucking her hair back behind her ear to see her better.
"We could stay here this holiday. Just us. Put up a tree. Do everything people in love do," I say, my voice shaking with how real it feels. "Because I love you." I still can't believe this is real.
