I am trying to determine which two are worse: Riley and Sapphire, Mathius and Sapphire, or Sapphire and Luke. I agree with Riley when he says it is Luke’s fault that my precious jewel has picked up the more colorful aspects of the Aussie language. Chapter 11 Talia’s POV I was deep into the book resting in my lap when the door handle rattled. I sighed, exasperated. My thoughts were already a mess especially now that I wasn’t chained anymore and the last thing I needed was Vermont barging in to unsettle me all over again. “You can’t stay away for a few hours without coming back to torment me, can you?” I called out as I stood, unlocked the door, and pulled it open. Fireworks exploded in her mind as dizziness assailed her. One at a time, his hands moved from her shoulders as they slipped around her back, pressing her more intimately against him. Fire consumed her the longer their mouths fused and tongues stroked. Helplessness washed over her, and she hated feeling that she had no control. Her body wouldn’t listen to her mind, which screamed at her to stop and push away. The strength in her hands slowly disappeared, and her lips softened and relaxed to his passionate kiss.
