Jasper finally remembered where he had seen Chase before. Their family’s Supreme Elder had a portrait of him when he was about 11 or 12 years old! She went to Jasper, as soon as she found some space, before anyone else approached her. "Hey! Can you help me, Mr. Jasper?", Chloe inquired. "I'm starting to feel congested. The only difference between the previous day and today was the fact that they were having a conversation. "Today was really fun. I had no idea anyone could be awesome at playing with the crane machine or beat two people singlehandedly at laser tag" Jessie gushed, blushing as she fondled the doll Jackson has won and given to her. It was a cute little white rabbit with blue eyes just like Jackson. A light pink dusted Jackson's cheek as he replied "You weren't so bad yourself, you beat both Chelsea and me at Skeeball. You also beat me at racing so I think it's fair to say you're more awesome"

Jasper pulls away from the curb and starts to drive at an alarming speed and my heart almost flies out of my chest in fear before I scream. "Oh my God, Jasper! Go a little slower, will you? Aren't you scared for your life?!" I shout as I scream again as my head almost bangs against the glass. Jasper guns through a U-turn, acting as if he didn't just hear me scream for my life. Then he speaks. "Where is the fun in that?" he asks, flashing me a cheeky grin and I smack him on the head. "Oh, really? Of course, there is fun in dying on the road like..." Another scream leaves my lips as he turns to the left and I am sent flying in the other direction.

All the blood drained from Jasper's face as he stared fixedly at the cufflinks in Gabe's hands. Jasper had personally pinned those cufflinks on Lucas' sleeves last year. They were engraved with Lucas' initials—LL. There were no other cufflinks like this one anywhere else in the world. Jasper's body began trembling uncontrollably. His mouth moved, but not a single sound came out. He turned around and stared at the animal feeder again, watching as the white mice tore into the charred bits of flesh.

He was going to be held responsible for any leaks of information. “I think we should play a game of pool,” Jasper said, picking up a cue and chalking the end, his eyes on me. I returned the glare and he handed me a cue. There was a crackle in the tension in the room. The fragile peaceful atmosphere was shattered and I accepted the challenge. The bartender poured us all drinks and Jay racked up the red balls. “How about you break?” I offered giving Jasper a heated glare. He accepted and red balls went flying in all directions and he managed to pot three. Impressive.

Jasmine opened her mouth to try to come up with an explanation until it clicked, she arched her brow and seeing the grin on Chucks' face, she shook her head. "So we've got jokes, huh?" "And a lot of other stuff, like real friends below the age of forty-five." Jasmine's eyes sparked with interest momentarily, but then she sighed realising what Chucks was doing. He was trying to divert her attention from her first question. "Stop fronting, Chucks. How are things back at home?"

I replied, attempting to conceal my confusion. Jasper's jaw clenched, and he locked eyes with me. "No, seriously. I like you, Cassandra." I couldn't help but chuckle at his sudden confession and took a sip of my milkshake to mask my amusement. But as I swallowed, a burst of laughter escaped me, and I accidentally sprayed milkshake on Jasper's hair. "I apologize," I apologized, hastily wiping my mouth with a napkin. Jasper's milkshake dripped slowly down his forehead, giving him an adorable look, but he didn't appear bothered by it. "No problem," he responded, cleaning the milkshake off his hair with a napkin.

ADY “Don’t think about him because he didn’t like you then. I like you...” Jasper said it to me. I whirled to face him. “I’d like to treat you. Do you like fish balls?” Jasper said, making me smile. “Fishball?” “Yes, if you want to.” I gave him a kind smile and a nod in response. Somehow, my “yes” seemed to satisfy him, and I had no idea why. At first, we hung around by his college’s food carts.

Summer took a glance at Jasper and laughed. Never would she have thought that Jasper would want to play the childish claw machine with them. “It might only be pure luck on the first try. If you get it the second time, I’ll acknowledge your skills.” Summer handed Jasper the tokens.
