Call of Night

Call of Night

“I can get you there fast.” “You shouldn’t go,” I tell him slowly, hating that I’m saying it. “Or at least not to my house.” Resting my head in my hand, I let my eyes fall shut. It’s nearing ten thirty and in theory, we could get to Thorne Hill before midnight. If we hit traffic, that will be a different story. “I’ll be there,” I tell Kristy. “Alone.” * “The Grand Coven can’t get mad that you’re here.” I open the door to Novel Grounds and turn on the light. “Vampires have as much right to live in this town as the non. There are two vampires who live downtown somewhere already.”

The City of Love and Sinners

The City of Love and Sinners

She’s not exactly a hero of justice, seeing the fallen victim from ‘The Cannibal’ just made it worse. “Inspector, take Jaemin and me to the crime scene” Rae stiffened. “On it” he replied short. * * * Jaemin sits next to Vaan, while Rae chose the backseat as her domain. She stares outside the police car as the car passes by the colorful street lights. Theister city was built by the millennials who are hungry for technology and advancement. Some even said this city is cursed, and a city of unification of evil.

The Villainous Emperor is My Pet?

The Villainous Emperor is My Pet?

My bad habit was curling my toes when I was anxious. Why? I didn't move again. I stayed still. Maybe they would go away. I was done. There was no way now. "She looks dead though." It was another soldier. "Who could survive after falling from that height?" I wanted to give a thumbs up to that soldier. "What if it's an undead?" The first soldier asked with a trembling voice. "The undead city isn't far from here." Undead city? There was no such mention in the novel. Then again, the novel focussed too much on the female lead's love life.

Origins: The Luna City Trilogy

Origins: The Luna City Trilogy

A wave of déjà vu creeps over me, causing me to shudder as I’m thrown back to the night of mine and Elijah’s interrupted date when the Nightcrawlers had plagued the streets just the same as they do now, this time leaving a more extensive trail of death behind them in their wake. Continuing to navigate solely on sound as the putrid smell only grows stronger the further I venture into the blood-soaked City, I finally reach the end of a narrow alley before finding myself within the City Centre. I look towards the commotion breaking out ahead when recognisable flashes of fur clash dart around meticulously in a dance-like flow while they battle their opponents, dodging the contorted figures lashi

How often is the update on this book? It says on the title “Trilogy”, are there 3 separate books or 3-in-1? Coz some authors include Books 1&2 on 1 book altogether before declaring it as Completed. I just want to know if this 93 chapters now is still far from being Completed and I have to wait long

His Sinful Desire

His Sinful Desire

The city of Bakunawa. When he turned the page to three hundred seventy-eight chapter eleven, he saw what he was looking for. The eleventh city that once ruled the entire realm. The land that was swept away and was forgotten by some. A place where the tragic rain of meteors destroyed a powerful lineage. The city of ‘Faith’. Ten minutes reading the said book, Dye displayed a weird grin on his face. A smile that sent shivers to his own people.

seems like an interesting read. the opening chapters and prologue had tension and some good descriptive imagery. just be sure to proofread the narration to get rid of minor punctuation errors (mostly in parts with dialogue) and to improve sentence structures. overall, intriguing plot

The story seems interesting, but I noticed sentences in the past and in the present on the same paragraph. It was hard to concentrate in the story with those changes. Needs a few corrections with this, but overall, a nice read.

Light & Darkness: Book 1

Light & Darkness: Book 1

- Selene added and they both went down to eat dinner. When evening came, Johhan left his hideout and started walking. There were fewer people in the streets, but still a lot for this time. Unfortunately, that was the charm of the City of Angels - a lot of people during the day and at night. Johhan, however, could not hide in the dark alleys all the time if he was to carry out his mission and return to the Underworld.

The Perfect Lie

The Perfect Lie

Chapter 18 The city lay before them, infinite and unforgiving. Shadows stretched long under trembling streetlights, the air thick with the distant scent of rain and gasoline. Lena and Noah ran. Steps rang out behind them—closer than she would have liked. Damien wouldn't give up. He was a ghost from her past, resurrected just when she'd begun to believe she was finally free. She was breathing fast, her heart racing in her chest. "We need cover."

Howl in the City

Howl in the City

The city never slept, and neither did her heartbeat. Ari weaved through the crowded streets, heels clacking against cracked pavement, neon signs reflecting off puddles like broken mirrors. The air smelled of fried food, gasoline, and something else—something electric, almost alive. She pulled her hoodie tighter around her, trying to disappear into the shadows, but she never quite could. Not when the city hummed with life, not when danger lurked just out of sight, and certainly not when he was near.
