I put on more makeup than usual, but still much less than Mom and Jaxon probably expected. When I made my way downstairs for the official introductions, I’d managed to calm myself. My eyes still felt too warm from almost crying, but my smile didn’t waver when I descended the stairs toward Dad, Jaxon , and his companion Felix . Dad took my hand, squeezing it as he led me toward my future husband. Jaxon’s expression was a masterpiece of controlled politeness as he regarded me. His eyes were dark blue, like the depth of the ocean, and gave the impression that they could swallow you just as easily as the bottomless sea. Disapproval flashed across his face when he took in my dress.

"Yes," Jay spoke, watching Kane's navy eyes observe the condo, "I live alone." Kane's eyes were two killing, admired every single aspect of the condo. It had a beautiful view of the city, a short staircase to another floor for the bedroom and bathroom. The living room was large, with a mounted television and a home theatre speaker setup. Everything was marvellous, and Kane couldn't help but slump onto the couch, the comfort he felt making him feel much more at home than his step-father's house.

The TV was showing a rerun of the Friends series that no one seemed to be paying attention to. I hid behind the door to see what was going on. David, also known as Mad-Dave was screaming in Jackson's face. Mad-Dave was another trouble maker around here; he was a pest, to say the least. He always tried to sexually harass the nurses and his mouth was fouler than a rotten egg. He was saying something about Jackson's sister who I wasn't sure if she even existed. He said a word so vile that I wished I was deaf before listening. Dave's partner in crime, Owen was laughing to whatever Dave was saying while Cody, the Man-Child was seated on the floor right in front of the screen, watching television,

(Still on Flashback) -------- CJ was in his room then his phone started ringing, he quickly pick it up he see that the caller was his best friend "Hello.. How's the result?? He asked "CJ.. Getting Chairman Felix strand of hair was really hard, you don't even care to ask me how I got it.. you're already asking for result " "Sorry Alex " "It's okay.. well the girls strand of hair and that of chairman has been tested and the result came out positive.. 98.9 stating that they're related " Alex said and CJ eyes widened

If Corbyn doesn't do anything, he'll lose to him. Corbyn pulled Frost back to punch him but someone came in that made him stop halfway. It was the careless Jaxzim whom looked at them. "Okay... sorry to bother you guys," Jax apologized and went straight to Chassy. "Hey lady, watcha reading?" Jax asked Chassy as soon as he reached her. Chassy was surprised. "Oh hey there Jaxzim the luminescent!" she greeted sassily shaking her head. She raised her brow at him then Jax chuckled.

CJ takes a steak from the chicken soup and bites into it. "Believe me now?" he asks, chewing mannerlessly. No, I don't. I just stare at him blankly. Out of anger, he grabs the dish and pours the chicken in the bin as I watch. I swallow my anger and hunger, watching the last steak fall from the dish to the dustbin. I know I can't trust him...
