Miss Clarkson began, “Because the last three days without you two have been bliss. Cato, get to the front now. You’ve already wasted enough of my time this year. And Elias, get your feet off the table.”
I begrudgingly grabbed my textbook and pen.
“Football at lunch?” I asked Elias as he dragged his feet off the desk.
He gave me another awkward smile, “Whatever you want to do.”
The lesson was tedious. I sat next to a girl named Eleonora. She was a Stella wolf, but fortunately, she had no interest in sucking up to me. That was the only redeeming factor. Apart from that, she was a sour, stiff teacher’s pet with a severe lack of humour.
