He explained to his assistant that Lorraine had left earlier, and he was hoping to catch her at the airport before her flight took off. Clay didn't have a typical support system or a big group of friends. His circle was limited to his parents, sibling, and his best friend Joanne, who was currently on archaeological research in Europe. Unlike Joanne, who was lively, loved by many and had many friends, Clay had to search hard for companionship and someone to offer him advice. Then on one drizzly Tuesday morning, he met a young intern with ambitious dreams, and soon their relationship went beyond the everyday work environment.

Clara thought of herself as his girlfriend, and everything felt right in the world. But everything came crashing down when he opened his door, and his pesky little brother was there, sitting on his couch, watching a movie.
