Clay starts again, his voice rumbling deep in his chest, “are feeling particularly smug right now, seeing as we pulled the mother of all tricks on this entire assembly.”
“Poor old Rham!” one of his pack brothers bellows from the back, sending the crowd into howling laughter.
Poor old Rham can rot in the wilderness, for all I care. I might be bewildered by the sudden collision of lust and panic I feel toward my new mate, but I am standing tall.
