The Fathers of My Child?

The Fathers of My Child?

I asked for this silence. And right now, I actually feel… clear. Not happy. Not sad either. Just… clear. Like my body and mind have gone through a car wash after a long storm and even if there’s still mud on the tires, the windshield’s finally clean. I tip my face up to the sky. The sun’s behind the clouds, that kind of mid-grey sky that can’t decide if it wants to rain or not. A cool breeze brushes over my skin. I close my eyes and just breathe.

The Burning

The Burning

I asked, squinting up at the murky sky. "Seeing what?" Chloe’s voice came through, light and distracted. She was probably painting or working on one of her sculptures. She had an artist's mind, always somewhere else. I glanced at my watch. 3:15 PM. Too early for the sun to set but too dark to be anything normal. "The sky, it’s... weird." I couldn’t put it into words at the time. Not that it would’ve mattered. Words wouldn’t have saved us. "Relax, Maya. Probably wildfires again. You know how summers have been the last few years. I’ll be fine."

The Goddess' Vessel

The Goddess' Vessel

84. Rachael. I stared out the window, mesmerized by the breathtaking beauty of the summer skies. The brilliant blue stretched out before me, dotted with puffy white clouds that seemed to drift lazily across the horizon. I had been cooped up inside for too long, and the sight of the sky was like a balm to my soul. I felt a deep sense of peace wash over me as I gazed out at the endless expanse, feeling the weight of my worries slowly lift.

After the Clouds

After the Clouds

"You can open them now and take a look." Yara lowered her hands and opened her eyes. An exquisite cake had appeared before her. "Wow, such a beautiful cake! Mommy, you're amazing!" Julian watched the scene, warmth rising in his chest. "Make a wish, quickly." Yara pressed her palms together, her expression reverent. After blowing out the candles, she opened her eyes. They darted around mischievously. Without warning, she reached out and dabbed some frosting on the tip of Winona's nose. "Haha, Mommy's a kitty cat now!"

THE PROMISED SAVIOUR

THE PROMISED SAVIOUR

The first rain of the year had just ceased, leaving behind a serene and tranquil atmosphere. The air was crisp and clean, filled with the sweet scent of wet earth and leaves. The sky was a deep shade of grey, with clouds that seemed to stretch on forever, their soft, white peaks still lingering.

Twilight Skies

" Dom sounds scared. "Damnit, she's not tracking anything now. She might have a concussion,” I know he muttered more but like he said, I'm not tracking very well. "Shelbie, when did the operator say the ambulance is going to arrive?" Dom asks his daughter. "The operator said about twenty minutes,” more swearing from Dom.

Vampire's only flower

Vampire's only flower

Small flowers are scattered throughout the lawn, providing subtle accents against the lush green backdrop. The sky is high and clear blue, and a few white clouds are floating lazily in the sky, allowing the wind to blow away in the vastness of the sky. All that is illuminated by the warm sun appears to be a brighter color as the sun's rays reflect off everything it touches.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

Leesa said, heading for the entrance and pulling Rave along behind her. As soon as she stepped outside, Leesa sucked in a long, deep breath. After so long underground, the air out here smelled and tasted wonderfully fresh, laced with the scent of pine from stands of evergreens that covered parts of the hillsides, which stretched in rolling waves as far as her eyes could see. The sky was a clean, bright blue—cleaner and brighter than she was used to in Connecticut. A dozen or so small white clouds, shaped into wispy, miniature tornados by powerful high altitude winds, dotted the azure sky.

Mafia's Obsession

Mafia's Obsession

It was already midnight, and Clara should have left immediately, but she found herself standing near the large window in Lucas's living room and gazing at the Manhattan skyline. There were no stars, not even the moon. The sky looked so dark—just as dark as her empty heart. However, Clara could see the hundreds of brightly lit skyscrapers from there. Although they weren't stars, the Manhattan sky still looked beautiful with the shining lights on each high-rise building. It all looks… wonderful. Clara sat there—on a piano stool while finishing her ice cream. She thought she would leave once it was finished, but minutes passed after her last spoonful, and she still stood there to admire the bea

Not as gore and bad as other mafia’s story. Every plots and turns wrapped up nicely. Some tiny hiccups and it’s acceptable. Good job. And a little advice, if you want to be a serious author, try get beta reader or proofreader to check on your mistakes.

THE ALPHA'S CURSED LUNA

THE ALPHA'S CURSED LUNA

To a two-day-old infant who could not answer. Dawn looked at her instead. Then looked up. Then Aria watched this happen, watched it with her own eyes and still wasn't sure she believed it—the clouds above them pulled apart. Just above their path. Just ahead of them. A corridor of open sky appearing in overcast that had been solid thirty seconds ago. Stars. Enough light to see by. Barely. But enough. People around them made sounds. Relief sounds. Moving faster now, able to see their feet, able to see the person in front.
