MY TWIN ALPHA'S
“I feel nothing for you, Zeph. Nothing. You’re a pup playing at being a wolf. Weak blood, worthless. I will never choose you. Never.”
Silence fell, heavy and suffocating. Then a broken sound, half-sob, half-growl from Zeph’s side of the wall. His wolf howled inside him, frantic and grieving.
Cleo straightened, smoothing her shirt as if brushing off dirt. She glanced back at me one last time, lips curling.
“Keep dreaming about rescue, Nalani. No one’s coming. Your mates are drowning in grief. Your sister wants you dead. And soon…” She smiled, cold and beautiful and cruel. “Soon, there’ll be nothing left of you but what we decide to keep.”
